Congrats Wellington, your team played better. Good game but it was tough to watch. I can't believe Samuel did not pick off Eli on that final drive. I knew when that happened bad things were coming and sure enough Tyree did the bad thing. All the credit to Eli and the rest of the Giants.

Did anyone actually think the Giants were done this year because Tiki Barber retired? I don't remember seeing that. And it's not like they were picked to go far the last few years with him. When was the last time they got out of the first round? Their Super Bowl year?

Manning at Tennessee is a much better example of the Ewing Theory.

Anyone who watched this, you saw history.

It was an unbelievable game for all types of fans, especially ones rooting for the Giants. This is something you'll remember for probably the rest of your lives.

The Giants are the heroes of New York, New Jersey and their fans all over.
 
I want to see Schlereth and Salisbury. At the beginning of the year they both said we had no left tackle, the coach is a lame duck and we could not match Tiki's production. Schlereth said that the entire franchise was a 'disaster'.

i mean, for me, the eli escape and pass has to be #1 super bowl play since without it the giants would have lost. absolutely unbelievable. instead of greatest super bowl plays, we should be talking about greatest plays ever in any sport.

Trust me when I tell you that folks close to Brady were very, very worried about his ankle on the Sunday night after New England had beaten San Diego in the AFC title game earlier that day. Brady basically couldn't even walk on his sore ankle that night at home, which tells you how fortunate the Patriots were that there's a two-week gap between the conference title game and the Super Bowl.

Still, Brady appeared to have trouble with his deep passing touch against the Giants, which could be attributable, at least in part, to his inability to plant that foot and follow-through on his throws.

The Patriots' dynasty started with the tuck rule, and it ended with the Tuck Rules. As in Giants defensive tackle Justin Tuck rules, after the dominant game he just turned in against New England.

No, a Hail Mary play would be if Eli got out of the pocket then just lunged the ball towards and end zone and hoping one of his guys got to it. Tyree was in the middle of the field, open, and Eli threw a deep ball to him. It was a bit too high, so Tyree needed the circus catch to come away with it.

Lucky yes, but every team has their share of luck in these games. I point to Eli's 'INT' as an example :)
 
I gotta say, even though I've been on the Giants bandwagon for the past couple of weeks, the Patriots (players) really impressed me after the game with how they were talking about the Giants. They were all genuinely impressed with how the Giants came out and played, and we didn't hear any of that bullshit we usually hear: "We didn't play up to our standards, we lost this game, they didn't win it." Even Moss came out there and showed some humility. I guess not everything is learned from the Coach.

Amazing that Moss was really a non factor throughout the playoffs.

Welker was really the guy who was doing it on NE's offense.

Though Brady definitely missed a few deep throws to Moss that he was making earlier in the season. And the balls were hideously inaccurate. I mean they were barely visible on the screen and sometimes so underthrown that even the defenders couldn't make a play on the ball.

I felt Moss was dogging it a little too on that last drive. I mean the game over, but I felt he was ready to go home.

the montana pass to john taylor against cincy is the greatest superbowl play ever! yes i'm biased :(

the tyree play was incredible though. it has to go down as top 5 at least (i still think the final play "1 yard short" in the rams/titans game was incredible)
