In case anyone's wondering, the Mastered for iTunes version is the version of the album to get. Up to "50% more" dynamic range than the CD version/other masterings. This is at the cost of some clipping, however, but as you can see, a brickwall on frequency was removed.

The songs from the original Halcyon album were remastered, too, so it may be worth re-picking up a couple of your favorites.

I bought Janelle Monáe's new album on CD as well, and I have a feeling that's going to be a big mistake, too.

Wow, can't believe I'm only finding out about this now. Halcyon was one of my favorite albums of last year.

The cover for Halcyon Days is killing me with its sheer sexiness. Like Ellie's performance at Osheaga did... God I love this woman.
