I'm not really against a price increase to assist in the cost of developing a quality single player title that has huge production value.
The problem then becomes lesser games will see games selling at a higher price so they will decide to charge more too.
We will then be stuck with publishers wanting to create games with low production cost and trying to sell them at a higher price to maximise profit.
