True, but that doesn't compute with the previous tournaments because the 3rd place granted you absolutely nothing.

I find it unfair that you have to compete against other countries their ranking in another group even though you have absolutely no control over it.

If one country has an insanely more difficult group then the other, there's absolutely zero chance that said group can be third and still venture further.
