Evil Dead 5 Trailer

When I see "Evil Dead 5" I thought more of like an Evil Dead2/Army of Darkness type of Evil Dead with some comedy and disappointed myself because this is no that.

This doesn't look like evil dead at all to me.

Looks like a reboot/sequel of the 2013 Evil Dead to me. Which is fine I guess.

Looks alright. Never seen a cheese grater used like that. I don’t think I’ll like the kid character.
You made me unsure if I wanted to watch the trailer lol.

Looks interesting. I never watched the 2013 reboot, is this a follow up to that? Or is it another reboot?

He wasn’t in 4 either. Its just like Terminator/Predator now where the canon is kind of disjointed. If you want more of Ash’s story, Ash vs Evil Dead tv series is a direct sequel to Army of Darkness.
I always just assumed he was evil dead, never thought it would be a thing without him, only seen the first few films and watched my dad play the Dreamcast game XD

I might have to check out the TV show :)

A pass from me. Havent liked anything post army of Darkness and this doesn't look to be changing that trend.

That looks like absolute dog shit. Pure, fucking bollocks. I didn't get Evil Dead out of this at all. It just looked really generic.

Hard pass.

A lot of focus on the demon mom who doesn't look scary in the slightest, which kinda sucks.

I'm always down for a dumb gore horror movie though.

From what I read that is not the case. I think they ignore that one and continue from 3. But I am hoping to be wrong, because I actually liked the reboot. If Ash isn't in the new one, I think they should continue the reboot story.

Looks alright. The 2013 movie was a nice surprise but then 99% of horror nowadays is pure trash despite some ok looking trailers so I'll wait for reviews.

I liked 2013 too but it seems that continuity was a one-off. The actress who played Mia didn’t wanna come back, and this has a different director. At best this movie will have a passing reference to 2013 reboot or maybe Army of Darkness, if that much, but I doubt it will matter to the story.

Looks amazing, wow

Not genre defining or anything, but fun.

The trailer has some great shots. I loved the remake, and it seems like a natural evolution from it.

Bruce Campbell has retired from playing Ash but he's remained as a producer and consultant on all things Evil Dead going, including last years game and this movie.

I will see it when it drops into a streaming service. As others mentioned this does not look like evil dead (or at least Bruce Campbell ones).

Still looks good for a sequel to 2013.

This actually looks pretty solid, seems like it’s got some decent ideas.

I liked the reboot a few years back.

Ok but he isn't the only actor who can be fun and entertaining while in a horror flick is he ?
This looks too serious to be an evil dead movie to me...

I want
This doesn't look like evil dead at all to me. Also another wasted opportunity to bring back the white eye deadites. Meh.
The only good deadite is a white eyed deadite, and if he doesn't scream "dead by dawn" to the poor souls he haunts, he's wasting his unlife...

I'll take it, the remake was pretty dope for what it was.

No, it's "not really Evil Dead" because they made that on a shoestring in the the 80s and you'll never ever emulate that. The show tried and failed to recreate the goofiness of 2 and 3 and it just didn't work out.

The Evil Dead was a straight gross-out horror movie despite many wanting to remember it as a comedy. It wasn't. 2 and 3 were comedy horror movies.

Did Jane not want to come back, or did Fede just put his foot in his mouth saying she couldn't handle the physical nature of his films. Which I think he should have just shut up.

Also I was telling my brother yesterday this just screams 2013 evil dead looks wise. I really liked 2013, but effects wise I'd prefer the look of the earlier films.

I'd argue it doesn't look enough like pure, fucking bollocks. The original films were gonzo and silly and weren't afraid to be trashy. Nothing was too cheesy or off the table for Raimi. Movies these days have forgotten how to be funny, and take themselves way too seriously.

Both Bruce and Sam produced it.

It's going to be good and hold that Evil Dead feel.

2013 Reboot was good and you should definitely watch it if you haven't yet. Of course it doesn't hold the Black Comedy elements Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, and Ash Vs. Evil Dead did, but it holds up.

With all the generic horseshit, bad writing, all inclusive movies that have come out over the past decade, this film will most likely be a shining beacon.
