I don't know. A tournament of this scale isn't an easy task to run. You literally have a hundred things that could wrong at any give you time (plus players like infrit that like to take a breather after every loss)

Forgive my ignorance, but what's the assist rule? I'm confused >.<

You are ONLY allowed to change if you lost. You are locked on characters, order, and assists if you win. Whether or not it affected the outcome of the match, rules are rules. But the rules also state that you have to notify someone otherwise it doesn't matter.

Champ didn't play Phoenix at all in GF though, I'm not really sure why people are so hung up on that point. Hell, using Phoenix knocked him out of Winner Finals to begin with.

When I reread the EVO thread there was definitely a ton of hate for Viscant, the concept of Phoenix and the player were much more intertwined back then than now.

He was called a fraud by Marn just after winning EVO 2011 (and probably a ton more players who kept their mouths shut) . To be fair, the guy wasn't relevant for close to 10 years before he started to play MvC3 so there was definitively factors for having doubt over his victory. The dude was known for screwing up a lot of combos/opportunities and choking on the level of ChrisG or perhaps even worse.

Actually, the official rules don't mention assist type changes at all, they just state you can only change the order of assists and not the point character. May not even be against the rules.

Won't count out Rog if I were you, Japanese players get mind ****ed playing against him. If Daigo beats Infiltration I would think Rog's chances of winning AE2012 is quite high. But yeah IMHO Infiltration will win EVO, people have been sleeping on him for too long.

Rog will be comfortable in 4th behind Daigo, Infiltration and Dieminion. And Dieminion is going to pull some Aviators out of his back pocket and stare Infiltration right in the face as he puts those shades on and flash kicks his way to the world title

My biggest pissoff is how long they take to button check. Especially since doesn't KoF have the option in character select screen? (I may be wrong, haven't played yet)

Their players definitely draw it out more. Next to BlazBlue for matches where they take forever to actually START playing a round

FGTV is going to be type annoying but i'll still watch. I like their stream.. Just have to make sure to never look at the stream chat again. The amount of dick riding will be historic.

It's impossible to say; the fact that he started chit chatting with Chris for no discernible reason and he made the change while doing that is pretty shady. I don't really care much either way on it, just pointing out that he's justifiably going to get shit about this for the next year.

No. Filipino Champ is easily one of the smartest and calculeted players He changed the assist for a resson. Even if some poeple think it had "no impact"
