I know I'm just saying it's interesting (well to me) that Noel and Champ act very similar, and they have some other similarities ex: not having a mother figure (well that I we know of). Maybe they do have another one that we just don't about like a 2nd mom who knows... just going off from what I've seen.
 
Time for a normal weekly fg thread instead of the EVO one? Also 6 figures, you guys are bonkers. Maybe he's making enough to buy 6 anime figures.

Noel doesn't have a mother figure? Isn't he always kissing that picture of his mom whenever he plays?
 
I would he surprised if Fchamp made more than 40k a year off streams, tournaments, sponsorships, etc. And i am including 15k from EVO in that. Unless you are Justin Wong, this ain't much of a living, it's a passion.

That's assuming that's what he actually makes. I doubt it completely; the FGC community/tournament scene isn't giving one guy six figures a year. If he made HALF that, he'd be living well off.

I don't know, I get the feeling some dudes don't understand the value of money and are just throwing numbers around.
 
Anyone have a link to the zhi interview at Evo? The one with Kayo and Daigo? Looked on YouTube for it but I'm on my phone and having no luck
 
I'm glad Houston represented what I've known since last year. We have some of the best, no question. 3 of our guys made top 32 and our 2 best players didn't even go. Rubecks gave the set away to Chris G, as well.
 
The top SF players (MadCatz or other bigger sponsors, consistent top 8 in majors) are around 50k (plus minus 10k) yearly, AFAIK. No where close to six digits though.

Well that's what I meant. She's no longer around...As far as Champ goes. From what I heard on FGTV he was mad at his mom for something and they haven't been on good terms for a long time.
 
I dunno what job Champ quit, but tonight he said he's going to work for Samsung and Capcom at Comic-Con next weekend, and hang out with the cast of Expendables 2. Said he's getting a nice paycheck for it.
 
Feels good to be back. Not being able to chat with you guys during EVO was awful.

Also i'm not sure if anyone mentioned this but ChrisG could of won that match against FChamp if he did the kubota escape. Or at least got into a better position.

I've seen Justin Wong do exhibition matches and stuff at conventions. Could be that.
