I could've sworn I saw a Marvel tournament last year stream in 1080p60 with an acceptable bitrate.

For the biggest tournament of the year, the quality on high is laughable. Get a couple more sponsors or w/e you have to do but don't keep the only watchable quality behind a paywall.

Macroblocking is seriously distracting.

Same here, I watched in source quality last year too. I remember things looking crisp and 60fps making the action so smooth and easier to keep up with. The macroblocking is awful on high quality and looks more like medium quality. VLC at least has some form of deblocking so it doesn't get too bad but still really bad.
