There's an article on him on the net somewhere saying he makes that much. Between his books, sponsorships and appearance fees, it's not that far fetched. And he has a day time job. Most players would love to spend $60k after winning it from a tournament but what does Daigo do? Donate it.

And Daigo doesn't have to win a tournament ever. He's already reached Hollywood status. He's set for life. Will be the first to enter the FGC Hall of Fame if there ever is one along with GB's favorite player of all time, Tomo.

That said, it seems KI is still an unwatchable mess. Hopefully when they make the next one they'll consider how the game looks on a stream (looking at you too NRS).

And Marvel? You forget about Doom missiles...but Doom missiles.

Bring back Daigo :(

I never thought Topanga cup was more prestigious than EVO or Capcom cup. I think most people look at topanaga similar to US majors like NCR or something. Its probably not even final round or CEO status. Nah I think it's time for him to retire. He had his time.

I feel like such a weirdo when every year SF is the game I enjoy the least and usually fall asleep during. I get why people like it, it's just clearly not for me.

Finally back at my new hotel room which is way nicer than the one at the Westgate, lol.

I made it 4 Matches into Quarters in Pokken and lost to a Pikachu. I was 3 from Top 32 which I had hoped to get but it's kind of my punishment for not playing as much as I should have.

Went 0-2 in Round 2 of pools for Street Fighter. Lost to a Sim in Winners then barely lost to a Nash in Loser's. I was hoping to get farther but not bad all things considered. I'll definitely do better next year.

They probably know each other well, which let's daigo perform better against Tokido than against other people.

Dunno, he could very well win a smaller tourney here and there; Justin has done so and the match was p close. But it's true that Daigo may not have it in him anymore, what with doing a lot of other things other than training.
