It sounds like literally everything is coming to PS5.Wild AF and I will pay 70$ for it (the MCC). What would be even more wild is if they brought over the original Gears trilogy remastered.

I remember someone posting a Hellblade 2 pic saying Just get An Xbox........ (not gonna put you on blast)
Welp.
The only reason I'd consider it somewhat valid is because Tom Warren shared it as though it was was real.
I mean, if it were a good game I would be excited for PS5 owners but it’s really not, it’s outdated in almost every way and average at very best.
I kinda agree. Tom is coping a little bit XboxEra discord and doesn't seem to be fully onboard with Jez saying "all games". However, Tom himself has teased multiple times, that he has heard way more games coming to PS5 than just Hi-fi and SoT. Nick just confirmed that he knew about Starfield port for a while, but didn't want to leak it prevent further melts.
However, if you remember the original discord leak (OEM one), the poster insinuated ports are in the work for existing BGS games, meaning Starfield.
There is a thread already on it.
Rumor - Xbox going OEM route for next-gen? 3rd party consoles in the making?
So, this has been circulating in a discord I'm a part of which necessarily hasn't been picked up by Xbox community. The person was on the money on Indiana Jones, and is further corroborating about Xbox multi-platform stuff but the most intriguing aspect was on the hardware bit where the poster...www.neogaf.com
It's actually more out of the Microsoft playbook. Xbox failed because of THEM. GamePass was merely another attempt at a fix. It's not the cause, but part of the result.I hope everyone realizes this is about how Gamepass is completely unsustainable more than it is about Xbox's failure as a platform.
Like Xbox is a failure, no doubt. But it failed BECAUSE of Gamepass and what it takes to feed it, not simply because of a boring slate of exclusives.
The more I think of it, the more Jez is probably right on this.
How does it make sense to allow CoD to be 100% multiplatform, and other developers are forced to remain exclusive? And yet these same studios would have to layoff employees if their games don't reach target numbers/performance. That's totally unfair to their other studios.
So in a way, did Microsoft acquiring Activision essentially make them fully commit to third party in some strange twist of fate?

Yeah but that PS3 pricedrop + those bangers didn't happen until 2009/2010. That all happened same time as MS pulled the Kinect pivot and went after the Wii market. Everybody started switching to Sony at that point because Xbox was losing mindshare from people like us. And people like us always lead the broader market trends.Nah, once the PS3's price dropped, released banger exclusives, and Sony got their act together, it was clear that the 360 was no longer running away with all of those people on its own. The Xbox One simply sealed the deal and reversed all momentum.
Because they never intended to take it off Playstation, take out this brand hyperloyalty glasses for a second, ask developers back in the early 90s why they weren't loyal to Nintendo and wanted to develop for both SNES and Genesis? The more I think of it, the more Jez is probably right on this.

That combined with not being able to take CoD away from PlayStation like they planned....The fact that Starfield didn't move the needle for Xbox even a little was a VERY ominous sign
Perhaps at first. That will quickly end when people start to realize that all they have to do is wait a little bit. This isn't a console-to-PC kind of thing either. Starfield coming to PlayStation is a massive game changer! Is this likely to be a release on xbox, timed exclusive then come to PlayStation deal?

Its money, and they know the customers will buy their hardware and give their 30% cut, for them, Xbox is like android, its in a second or third place, but giving money, its about affordability to own, not to need to own because you're out.
Well yeah that's the whole issue isn't it? Look at it from Microsoft's point of view the entire Xbox division has been a financial failure from the get go and as far as we know they have never been able to get out of the red this whole time so they have tried many things over the years to try and turn in some profit but nothing ever worked and they just spent 68 billion dollars on the Activision Blizzard purchase so of course if they can't turn in profit from their own consumer base they are going to try the SEGA way and expand to other players.I hope everyone realizes this is about how Gamepass is completely unsustainable more than it is about Xbox's failure as a platform.

Microsoft doesn't need Playstation as much as it needs sales. And it can't sell this game on Xbox.
I feel like that was going to happen regardless. PlayStation has always been a bigger brand and luck can only get you so far.Yeah but that PS3 pricedrop + those bangers didn't happen until 2009/2010. Imagine making a bunch of burner accounts to review bomb a game on Metacritic and then it comes out on PS5.
Well, that was one short-lived prediction Wolf.
We ain't getting any DF breakdowns anytime soon.....I remember someone posting a Hellblade 2 pic saying Just get An Xbox........ (not gonna put you on blast)

Don't worry to much. They are not forced to be exclusive. They can release on PC too (and Switch too for some).other developers are forced to remain exclusive?
