Yarp. Trump won. Against all the polls, agaisnt all common fucking sense, he won.

A reality TV star is now president.

I need another drink.

Never ever trust the pools. They are easily rigged or altered.
About common sense, well, that is other story...

I see America has developed a taste for Italian.

And by Italian, I mean Berlusconi.

Imagine Silvio and Trump going out to hunt some ladies.

Even as a non-voter, my fac right now is one of...

"WHAT THE FUCK"

In 33 years, I have never voted either way. This is the first time I have felt like an ass ofr it.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
Echoing my rants-on-twitter-that-nobody-really-cares-about, it's not even the whole "Trump is a bigot" thing that bothers me. I mean, obviously that does. But politics are inherently complicated and multifaceted. I feel echochambers of "fascist" and "dictator" are grossly oversimplifying and mislabelling the structure and function of the USA political system and why these results are worrying. It's not just Trump; a big concern that might be. It's everything surrounding and backing Trump, namely the totalitarian Republican control of the house, senate, and supreme court. It's like how blaming Bush Jr for mistakes made within his terms is such a lazy, misguided scapegoat against his entire fucking party, especially Cheney and the damage they collectively caused. The results of this election are poignant not because "Fuck Trump", but instead the deeply entrenched Republican control over everything.

True. Trump is a symptom of many problems already persisting

Everyone ready for some socialist organisation and mobilisation then? Because it's the way out of this fucking mess we all seem to be in

Nothing's likely to change a lot for me. I'll pay attention to what happens with respect to the ACA but I'm sure I'll manage somehow.

I'm not happy about the outcome but whatever. Life goes on. I'm just gonna maintain normalcy. Tomorrow I'll get up at 2pm like everyone else put on a ripped up bleached up tshirt like everyone else and draw pictures of robots and monsters like everyone else and listen to jars of clay like everyone else

tomorrow i will get up at 7:30 and walk to start my job at 8:30 and hate the entire day before knocking off doing it all again the day after

wow sweet can't wait

I know that now we begin the fight to fix this bullshit, to stand up to tyranny and say our rights will not be stripped away, but right now, I'm feeling empty.

Just a void of emptiness that I have not felt since high school.

My Facebook feed is mainly a variety of "WHAT THE FUCK".

One of my friends, now blocked, wrote "I voted Stein. Let this be a lesson, America".

I am jazzed about the results. There's only so much I've been able to take being called an idiot online for not being super liberal. I hadn't been this motivated to vote in a long time.

how do you unfriend on facebook anymore? is it just the Block thing?

I got some asshole from college posting cartoon gifs of Trump smugly building a wall. He lives in fucking Hawaii, the idiot.

edit: nevermind. found the Unfriend option.

Go to their profile and you'll see a box that says "Friends" where you have the option. I just unfriended someone myself.

An orange, racist sex offender cartoon clown who ran on building a giant wall to mexico and bitched like a baby about everything being rigged for the last 2 weeks won. Even if you naturally lean republican it just really sounds weird to be jazzed about this ugliness... But you do you.

Which of his policy platforms appealed the most to you?

Or did you just want to say fuck you to every other cunt because they called you an idiot?

I bet you want to be in the Iron Cohort.

I have no idea what that is

Cool. Well I hope you feel good while everything goes to shit for everyone else because you're fine.

One of my friends, now blocked, wrote "I voted Stein. Let this be a lesson, America".

*sigh*

Keep punching left. Stein didn't get enough votes to bridge the gap, and the Democrats aren't entitled to anyone's vote anyway.

Maybe you should push for some electoral reform if you hate third party voters taking votes away so much.

I imagine the next few years for me are gonna be like the Bush presidency now =/

EG I am gonna be spending a lot of time back in the desert for no good fucking reason.

This was more people than I realized today. They don't even like Trump, they just relish the chance to combat hostile progressive liberals. I really wish it hadn't come to that, obviously, but I get it. And being surrounded by people who feel that way (my county voted nearly half Trump) it's hard not to get caught up in it. So I spent the final hours of the vote tallying with my girls cackling and celebrating even though just five hours prior I had been lecturing them for being too conservative. This is why I normally try to stay out of politics.

I'm no idealist, but a Trump presidency is a political nightmare across the board.

And I can fully understand wanting to say fuck you to every other cunt, but this is on a different level.

Mostly the ones focused on trade reform and the economy. The trade stuff specifically effects my job. I also don't like the ACA. It has directly impacted my wife's business.

Maybe he doesn't get anything done but I don't agree with most of Hillary's policy because I think she is a liar anyway.

I thought the race shoulda been Trump vs Sanders.

Those are my political thoughts.

Know your Leninism you wannabe commie.

:c

I do need to read more about the USSR tbf. It's an area of history that, for obvious reasons, is incredibly interesting to me
Note: Interesting does not mean I want to repeat it. Stalin was a colossal cunt, you won't hear any arguments from me on that

I guess I just feel like this one should transcend political parties. This is a dude who is a bully and he's mean and he's vengeful and he says horrible things about women and he complains and he lies and he blames and he does all of the things we wouldn't want our kids to do. It seems like a basic matter of character and decency. :\ Why celebrate that?

I wrote my high school history thesis on Lenin, back when I was in my own commie phase :p

Yeah...this is so fucking dumb. I don't like Hillary either but celebrating a man like trump is such a downfall

Oh, it just broke :(

I'm not going to blame anyone voting for their self interest, that's being human. But no matter which way I look at it, I can't see the long term benefit for anyone from this decision.
