Didn't realise Facebook Live allowed you to see videos on a map and instantly watch by hovering your mouse over. Seriously impressive. Go look at Turkey, every feed is people on the streets, en masse, protesting against the coup.
Not up on my Turkey knowledge but as much as Erdogan doesn't seem all that great a military fucking coup is something else altogether, and not something any of the people seem to be happy with... IF what I'm seeing is right.

Since I know you live in Instanbul (or is it Ankara?) I want to ask, do you think ISIS or PKK will try to take advantage of the opposition period?
I mean, I don't think a coup is a happy thing either, but considering he controls the election process, the press, parts of the army, the judicial system, the health system, even many corporations, how do you remove such a leader?
Im no fan of Erdogan but he was democratically elected and thus I'm surprised so many support a coup.
Reminds me of what happened to the first democratically elected government in Egypt.
Some only seem to support democracy when the party they support win.
Then that's up to the electorate to stand up, like during the Arab Spring in Egypt, Libya, etc.
They haven't done so. In fact, they seem to stand up to the Army's coup.
Shit man, when ISIS was first making headway, there were some pro ISIS guys here.
The answer is obviously yes.Jesus Christ how many fucking times do you need this shit explained to you? Are you honestly this dense?
Wait, why are people commenting on this thread, this quickly, stating the coup has failed without any sources?? It has been literal hours into the attempt and there is so much confusion that no one has any idea what the fuck is going on.
Please, if you don't have sources to state the coup has failed or succeeded, don't make statements that can read as confirmation, is confusing as all hell.
They couldve just not commented right?

National Intelligence Agency press officer says "Coup attempt is crushed. Govt structure is up and running. Junta will be tried for treason"
Just don't say anything. They already put out a statement saying that they're monitoring the situation. That's all that's needed.
Al Mayadeen reporting Gendarma (Police) Chief joining coup.
Gulen movement has released a statement condemning the coup in Turkey.

order is restored
After all this hours I'm not seeing army forces clashing against each other, that's odd if Erdogan still have any control over it, he seem to have no problem in sending civilians do the clashing, so he wouldn't even blink sending army forces under his control
The military/police repeatedly killed civilians as ordered by Erdogan. That was OK?
That's a really cool feature.Didn't realise Facebook Live allowed you to see videos on a map and instantly watch by hovering your mouse over. Seriously impressive. Go look at Turkey, every feed is people on the streets, en masse, protesting against the coup.

Good point, this isn't over.
There's still a possibility the military can overcome the protesters.
The coup has fai-
welp
Will a failed coup not leave turkey with a severely weakened army? Will that have any direct consequences?
How much does Erdogan pay you?order is restored
what now,
did the coup fail or is it still ongoing?
+1Also remember that there is no clarity on which protesters are supporting which groups in the streets right now.
Don't have a link, but there were a couple of guys who were gung-ho about their caliphate. I think one of them was named liger05 or something.Somebody link me to this!

Turkey has no impeachment process?
I mean, I don't think a coup is a happy thing either, but considering he controls the election process, the press, parts of the army, the judicial system, the health system, even many corporations, how do you remove such a leader?
Exactly. Sometimes there are people with too much harmful power that need to be removed.

Heh.
That's not a helicopter, that's a fighter jet. Unless Turkey gained control of Airwolf.
We don't know yet,what now,
did the coup fail or is it still ongoing?
I don't think Erdogan can be democratically removed.
