Oh man :/
My mom just finished cancer treatment, if you ever want to talk about it PM me.
My best wishes to you guys. Stay strong.
That xbox game was fun. I actually never played the original on Dreamcast, despite owning one.Never got to play it because I never had an Xbox, would be JUICED for a re-release.
Thanks again everyone.
She's no stranger to cancer, but just skin cancer prior to this. She has some sort of rare recessive genetic condition where her skin doesn't produce enough melanin or it's in some way faulty. Not really sure of the details because she doesn't talk about it much, but the short version is that she burns easily and is extremely vulnerable to skin cancers. Historically she has had cancers cut or burned off of her every couple of years since she was in her late 20s. She once told me that her specialist said she was the longest living person on record with that particular condition.

Shit mutes, sorry to hear that. Thoughts are with you, best wishes of everything turning out. Crap dragonz too?
Warning: personal stuff that will bum people out so I'm spoiler tagging it.
Fortunately treatment is so much better now. I wasn't so lucky and lost my mom to it in 98. If you ever need someone to talk to about it I'm more than happy to. It's truly the worst.
edit: Holy crap, your mom is one tough cookie.

Damn. You and Acrid have my condolences. I'm sorry you both had to experience such a huge loss so early in life and if you ever both need to talk, feel free to PM me.Cancer led to my dad's death.
...that's all I'm really comfortable with sharing at the moment.
I appreciate the support...but really, it's not something I need to get into, and rarely ever comes up. A lot of people don't actually know this about me. Anyway, I've been alive longer without her now, I made amends a long time ago. Nowadays it's mostly reflection on how it shaped who I am.

I promise I'm sending my good thoughts her way, man!! <3 <3 I know she'll pull through!!She would already have been in but something more urgent came up (motorcycle crash victim I think) and so there was a delay. Another surgeon is working with her now but I'm not sure when it's starting. It will be tonight, though.
I've heard of this condition.. Lack of melanin means the UV rays can easily penetrate the skin ! Keep your chin up, mister! Thanks again everyone.
