the only thing I can think of is purposely pushing myself to do those kinds of things and hope that exposure just makes it comfortable. Probably would result in situations where I make too much if an assumption of close of friends I am with someone but you have to break a few eggs to be a chicken abortion doctor

Welp...Work Crush (well, former work) invited me to a spontaneous karaoke night. Problem is that it's in North Seattle...and I only now found out about it. And it starts in less than an hour, which isn't even enough time for me to get dressed just to leave the house.

North Seattle is also 2 hours away from where I live, and that's if I get lucky and catch the bus on time.

This is my mindset and the reason why I don't want to lead her on or anything. I just want to not be an asshole when telling her. We previously scheduled drinks on Monday.
I think those are still lame excuses, to be blunt. You've expressed before that this clueless is a crush of your's that you've been after. She extends an offer to hang out. I would be all over that, even if I had to say "hell yeah! I'd love to. But I had to work late, can we meet 30 mins later?" Or something to that effect.
On the plus side its an excellent judge of her character. If she does the whole "you like my pictures but not the real me you're so shallow" thing then you dodged a bullet

I know, it's annoying and shucks and all, but I've had this exact experience when I was younger and regretted it. If you can at all, go. Find a place to crash on a couch, or whatever you can do to make it easier for you to say "yes".
