It's not a discrepancy lol, I would never say I'm great looking and there's a big gulf between suboptimal and ugly. I was legit upset the day my ginger beard grew out and someone pointed out to me that it had streaks of red.
Sorry, poor choice of words on my part.
Beard dying is a thing if it bothers you that much.
Why not just do it in editing?
They probably could have. It's a little detail that only book readers would care about, so maybe it was cost prohibitive. The way light plays with eyes is pretty intricate, so it might be hard to do a convincing recolor in post, at least for motion video instead of just a still.
I mean, consider how often she's looking at fire and other stuff that gets reflected in her eyes. It would be a pain to mask around that. Plus colored eyes don't always look colored. My eyes are extremely blue in the right lighting, but other times in pictures they look grey, slightly green or even somewhat brown.
It's kind of hard to explain since it's my default state, so I don't feel like I'm
trying to be happy. I love my life, I love my friends and family, I love my boyfriend, and I try to take a moment and appreciate the little things.
Some pseudoscience I've heard is that smiling releases endorphins, so there's truth to "fake it til you make it" in that regard. Also that you need to dwell on good things for about fifteen seconds or more or else your brain will forget it, unlike negative things which immediately make a lasting impression if you let them.
