Pretty good anime (just finished rewatching it), if one ignores the final arc, last three or four episodes. One of the type of ending arcs I despise.
I think the issue I foresaw with it was it was basically a summary of every outcome for each of the key characters...I dont think character deaths or something that people every mention without spoiler tags...

Since the dub is finally on funimations site. I could watch. Ultimately, I think the anime is kind of overrated just based on what was said before hand and then through the episode. The character art, even for Ganta is odd to me, kind of unappealing. I think that he is a competant individual who just needs a hug and a sunny day but based on this, the anime is just too morbid for me, I guess thats the word, or maybe dark? Oh well will probably marathon through tonight/tomorrow.

It's pretty neat, although it does get pretty stupid and infuriating towards the end.
The first episode is already a thrill, so you should give it a try.

It was me, yeah, but I never finished it. I think I watched the first three episodes. Yuno was cute and it wasn't bad, actually. It was ok, and the plot was completely disconnected from the manga/anime.

Genki's dead, though? Man, I really hope that it's just misdirection and that he'll be brought back as a twist. I really liked how fatherly Benkei was in the first three episodes and that's just shitty to see happen even if virtually everyone on earth died in the catastrophe.

Bizarro!Jexhius was right. This was the most entertaining opener of the season this side of manly testosterone fuel Jojo and comedy turned romance My Little Monster. Good production values, entertaining main characters (if very clichéd), and excellent use of music to heighten mood (I'M LOOKING AT YOU MAGI). Not sure if it can maintain this level of quality, but better than most of the crap fuckers here are hyping.

The second half of the second season had pacing issues but it still had it's ownage moments. First half was incredible.

I remember when Japanese cartoons where the place to go for all the ultra-violence and nudity. Now we just have panty shots.
One more reason why anime fans today suck.
It's more I assume the censorship in general will make more sense if/when the more graphic violence turns towards other people. It'll be pretty fucked up if there's nothing else that needs to be uncensored on the first bluray though, I'll give you that.
