Ok now we agree with something. Although it makes me wonder why you dont like this so much given how similar in feel it is to Kare Kano in ways.
One does not simply turn into Gainax.
No one ends a show quite like Hideaki Anno.

Sounds like you're overthinking things, broseph. It's cute therefore it is.Nah, it's pretty nice actually.
I just don't find little girls doing cute things appealing, at least in anime media. I love when my little niece does these things, though.
It's a problem with the context: why there's a little girl doing these things there? I think it's... cheap. I don't find the cuteness pure enough, in most of the animations. It's like they put it there just to catter more sales. It bothers me.

It's Firemind. In fact the attention he's getting for that post, is exactly what he wants!Well-articulated yet divergent opinion: must be trolling.
You could say the same about the vast majority of every entertainment media everywhere.
Yeah, but there are some animes where I can notice that much more than others.
Basically, the animes centered on cuteness feels very cheap for me. So I try to avoid. That's why I don't like Slice of Life normally, unless there's some element there that I really like, like good comedy or parodies.
For example, Nichijou Ep. 2 had that crazy scene with the two girls and the notebook. That's made me watch the next episode, because the anime wasn't really doing it for me before that.
Why is slice of life cheap?Yeah, but there are some animes where I can notice that much more than others.

It's a slice of their life. That's the context.Little girls doing cute things without a context, but just... because. That's why I find it cheap. I find it more acceptable as manga, since the chapters are fast and when it's 4-koma.
@cajunator
Yeah, I understand your point. Cuteness != Funny for me, in most of the cases. Sometimes, they overlap though.
It's a slice of their life. That's the context.
I find that boring. Why should I care about their life, though? If there isn't a reason for me to stick, I find it boring.
I prefer stories that have an introduction > middle > ending structure.
I find that boring.
Yeah.So when does Akito of the Exiled take place in? Between CG1 and 2?
Yeah.
Yeah, falling from grace by losing all your talent is something that not many studio's can pull off.One does not simply turn into Gainax.
Something was definitely needed to bridge between the end of Code Geass and the beginning of S2. The changes were hilarious and had to be trolling.

I thought it was fine as it's part of the experience. Watching the first episode of R2 was the epitome of "wtf am i watching??"
Code Geass was the epitome of "WTF am I watching?" Did you want a compelling cast, interesting story, or at least the semblance of a well thought out plot? No? Well that's great, here's some pretty mech action!

Damn, Agito has made me realize how much I hate most Geass season 1 and all of 2.

Code Geass had an amazing cast and you sure as hell can't say the story was boring.
WTF am I reading?
Lelouch is one of my favorite characters of all time.

Someone doesn't remember the MySpace era of social networking!
Leloch is one of the most obnoxious, annoying, faux-smart protagonists there is. I can't stand him. C2 is kind of a cliche character, Kallen does so many dumb things that it's impossible not to be infuriated when she's on screen, and the villains are despicable and not in the "love to hate them" kind of way. Everyone in that show is either dumb or a horrible person.
Lelouch is probably one of the smartest protagonists in anime for one simple reason. He scientifically measured his powers. Unlike every retard who gets a superpower and fucks around with it, he tested the limits. He also knew when to quit and had his limits. Also how the hell is CC cliche? Another thing, the whole point of the show was to point out how everyone was a horrible human being. Suzaku was a backstabbing little shit and both sides were just as bad.
To try to explain my hatred of Lelouch some more, it's the same problem I have with Light from Death Note. He's a cocky, over-confident, pushy asshole who happens to be working toward, what he believes at least, is a positive future. He has every unlikeable trait in the book, yet the writers expect me to like him because the people who he's working against are worse.
The reason people don't like Light is because he has a full-blown god-complex which serves as his primary reason and he's also a huge fucking hypocrite.
