Why am I even watching this!? This show is disturbing as fuck, constantly shifting between whacky harem hijinks, boobs, then bleak shit, then boobs getting torn to shreds in the most disturbing and painful ways, then back to comedy. And the show is still ugly as fuck, too (even though the animations are sometimes surprisingly good).

Log Horizon 03

This show continues to be one of the better ones this season. The characters are likable, the world is very interesting (what they've shown), and the rpg-like action is very interesting to watch. SAO may have it beat in the action, animation, character design and [melo]drama category when it came to being stuck in an MMO, but this has it beat where it truly matters imho.

Also the relationship between the protagonist and the assassin is very cute, I hope it continues expanding (and now that it showed that they're a similar age no worries of loli lovin').

Shiro/protag continues to be likable in his own way. The flashback they showed, as small as it was, added a bit to his character to where now he reminds me a lot of The World God Only Knows' guy (plays games because he enjoys them). They haven't really shown why he's such an OP strategist but they have at least shown his great use as a support class in battle.

I'm enjoying everything about this show so far.

Even though it looks like he just has a mask, the bomb disposal guy reminds me of the Calaca inspired figures of Grim Fandango. Using a Panzerfaust round as a club is an interesting choice as well.

Also, the blue girl robot(?) is definitely inspired by Bubblegum Crisis.

This seems a lot more violent than the average pokemon episodes. Team Rocket put an electric collar on Garchomp. The Garchomp goes crazy and starts hyperbeaming the city. At one point he almost hyperbeams a helicopter too.

I expected an "And everyone was off today so no one was in those buildings".

Also the kid hacks into a security door lol.

All my favorite side characters (Takao, Sakurai), getting screentime and saying interesting lines (canon confirmation of the series true pairing even..), helped to carry the episode forward even with its predictable match outcome

as is often the case with preliminary rounds and just random no name teams, Josei didnt even have any reasonably well designed character anyway and the moment he was shocked over Kiyoshi it seemed the fate was sealed.

I know many animu fans love these shows, but I don't care for them much. Like I said some pages back, imho a lot of these shows involving cute girls doing badass things would be better with some cool male characters as well.

White Album was absolutely excellent though. Fantastic music, well written. I'll definitely watch more of it.

Yeah, the feeling I've gotten from Log Horizon so far is that it's not brilliant or anything, but it's very... affable, I guess? It just kind of has an aura of likability, and it does enough small different things to make it intriguing.

The thing I really like about While Album 2 so far is the protagonist! It is ridiculously refreshing seeing a fairly confident go-getter in the protagonist role for a school romance.

Speaking of which, gotta check out the third episode of both of these today.

Log Horizon. The consensus is that it's not so good it'll be considered the best anime of the season, but it's enjoyable enough I can't think of a single person who has dropped it.

As to White Album 2, even though I'm really liking it I've been told that the first season won't end the story, so we'll have to wait for a next season.

True. Shows are actually better with at least one male in it to balance the dynamic. IMO anyway. Nichibros was so good cause it had both guys and girls doing crazy stuff.

So apparently they have Mewtwo in this movie? Yeah remember the badass Mewtwo from the first movie and the sequel Mewtwo Returns? Having no prior knowledge in this film I was like "YEAAAHHHH METWOO!!!!" And then... it happened....

The voice, is different. No, not just different, completely different gender. Female Mewtwo, no relation to the Mewtwo from previous films.

So I turned off the film, fuck you Pokemon teasing my childhood then ruining it.

This series basically continues as it started, which is a good thing. Shiro still seems like a cool protagonist, and I'm glad we got a little development for him here in flashback, it was short but it shed a lot of light on his character. The battle itself was pretty underwhelming compared to the cool PvP battle in Ep 2, but that's okay. I laughed at Akatsuki's age reveal (love interest confirmed) and Serara's maid-ing.

Ash, Jesse, James, Pikachu, and Meowth know NOTHING about the Mewtwo from previous films, specifically that of Mewtwo Returns where their memories are not wiped out. This new Mewtwo apparently just has the origin of "being created by humans" but doesn't go further than that.

Basically it's a fucking retcon. Old Mewtwo is gone replaced by this female Mewtwo acts like an overprotective mother around Pokemon and fails at it. Damn I'm pissed atm. Fuck this movie and fuck the Pokemon anime.
