I literally cannot follow his logic at all. Like at the start he goes "We all know that Aku no Hana is being filmed and then rotoscoped. Weird right?" My immediate thought was "No. You can't well rotoscope what hasn't been filmed."

But like, even as he draws these tenuous connections between these guys and something called "Pray for Japan," he suddenly makes an amazing leap to tax shelter scam to revive Tokyo Pop.

Like if you're going to be insane, can't you at least let us see your insane troll logic, rather than going "one plus one sort of equals one, ergo the olympics are hand crafted by Satan for Ronald Reagan's sake." There was no build up.

That's a terrible thing to say about duckroll.

Fate/Zero's had some good CG in it, I like that it uses CG as a way of making certain things purposefully seem out of place, like Berserker. Of course it also has the obligatory CG cars, but we can just ignore that! :D

I actually thought the CG fight in the hallway in KLK was pretty cool, am I alone on that?

If I notice that something has been done with CG, I will, by default, consider it ugly and having broken my immersion. Unless your show is Inferno Cop, or something of a similar caliber (not that any such thing exists), it's not exactly welcome in my book for you to construct your characters and backdrop from hilariously clashing materials, the way that 2D and CG are.

That's a terrible thing to say about duckroll.

Duckroll supports CG Mecha. That's all I got on this.

Nah I thought the hallway was acceptable. Not good, but not gross. Berserker and his jet were icky though.

You're such a wild man aren't you? You don't play by society's (this forum's) rules.

I stand with you on both of these issues.

Has anyone here watched Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei?

If so I can't decide between the manga and the anime. Is this one of those anime where it ends and I can continue off the manga? Or do they diverge/skip so much content I couldn't find myself back in the manga?

edit: reason I'm curious about it is partially because penguin in Shirokuma Cafe is voiced by the main lead in this show. But if the manga goes further I'll go with that.

Everything in the past few eps came together so nicely in this one. Eclair/Cinque silliness afterwards really helped establish a return to normalcy and the concert was really nicely animated. The ending hook with a tearful Rico was a great way to end it too as it hinted at us not quite being done yet.

Strike Witches 2

Even with all the ears/tails, I think I enjoyed the fighter/battleship porn the most this ep!

Won't lie either; I'm a sucker for that trope where something else is being launched when everyone thinks all that there has been to send out already has.

Gintama 70

Few things about this show are greater than when it seriouses the fuck up out of nowhere. One typically gets a good look at the real Gintoki rather than the facade he maintains.

Antagonist is the same VA as Levi from Attack on Titan which explains why he sounded so familiar.

One Piece 70

I... I think Sanji beat up a t-rex.

Gatchaman Crowds 9

Seems things rolling towards a conclusion. Liking how an actual team dynamic is being hinted at rather than one or two of the heroes sortieing at a given time. Good end to have Sugane finally assert himself.

I don't know if I'd call his laid-back/lazy attitude a facade and this the real Gintoki. Those are all him.

It's not like with anime where there's a guy who is always smiling but comes home and cries all day long only to smile the second he comes back out. Gintoki is always lazy. And proud.

Berserker CG in F/Z was great. Solid modeling and animation, and the effects worked really well. The dogfight was more exciting than many hand drawn aerial combat scenes from other shows. Having an actual virtual camera with great direction adds a lot to the experience.

He still strikes me as a man that's had to put aside some of his belief and idealism because of how the world changed around him and how foolish it'd been to throw his life away for it, especially compared to his contemporaries like Katsura or Takasugi. I think it was Nizou in the Benizakura arc that kept going on about how brightly Gintoki's spirit would shine and how it drove him mad how it did. It's as if so few others could see it because of how much effort he expended to conceal it.

No doubt i"ll get a clearer picture as the series progresses but where I am now, that's what I see!

You're not wrong, but I saw him more of a veteran who has given up but still has a sense of glorious justice.

While Katsura is just manliness personified.

You should see the TV version!

You get introduced to the rest of the witches next episode, looking forward to hearing your favorites whenever that may be!

Good reason. Kamiya Hiroshi da gawd.

And speaking of series starring Kamiya Hiroshi, I just finished reading the Kabukimonogatari novel. Which means next up is Hanamonogatari. Which means for the first time since Kizu, I'm going to be reading a Monogatari novel that I haven't already seen in the anime.

This I am rather looking forward to =D

The Light of El Cantare
Yeah, whoever it is that writes the copy for the back covers of all the Sentai releases has an... interesting sense of how to present each series. Like this one for Girls und Panzer.

oh fuck I have to make some of these

perhaps it's time to make the long-awaited back cover to Girlock Holmes.

None of the modeling and animation matters if he looks like he was greenscreened into the show.

But that's the thing - he doesn't. In fact, all the 2D characters look more "greenscreened" in any of the action scenes, since many of the backgrounds are full 3D.

Motto! Ojamajo Doremi 25

They really couldn't have made it more obvious that they were planning a surprise party for Doremi. You could even see the bun in Doremi's hair in that drawing Pop was making. Kinda disappointing in a way, because I think that others' patience with Doremi wearing thing because of how careless she is could have been an interesting idea.

That part at the end was all Doremi's fault for sharing her steak. Sharing is for losers.

Oh man, next episode is an episode about Aiko's parents. Feels punches to the gut incoming.

Unbreakable Machine-Doll 3

I knew that Shoko's was hot before watching this, but her VA fits her so perfectly that it manages to increase her sex appeal even further.

Reveal at the end wasn't surprising in the slightest. The fact they kept the discriminating evidence at that place is, but also incredibly stupid.

Yay~

Happy Birthday Minako!

I miss Extellore.
Me too :(

I thought this was the reason Sailor Moon was ruined for many.

And he's totally serious btw
Bishojou Senshi Daak Kniiit is still my favourite transformation spoof.
Or animated. (which I found while looking for the original storyboard.

Sailor Moon started as a popular manga. It's one thing to make merchandise to take advantage of how popular something is, and another to make something primarily to sell toys.
And yet MLP: FiM was pretty good! Them exceptions.

CR is pretty reliant on what hardware you have too.

On my shitty old PC with my 10 Mbit internet connection I couldn't even touch 1080p. 720p was a struggle.

On my new PC with the exact same connection I can stream 1080p without any issue at all.
It certainly isn't a PC thing. CR's servers just suck which just causes issues to varying extents.

And I really don't dislike any of them.
Not even the NOT-LAWSON loli?

Ahahaahahahah

Rejoice in that case as you get a bit more of the battleship porn!

This is brilliant. I salute you Sentai employee.

If I remember right, I think I have. I believe /XX/ posted a vid that was a side-by-side to compare the differences between the two.

Wow, I really need to watch this now.

Comic Sans? Really?
And impact with black borders. This HAS to be shopped.

Wait what? Where?
Wait, what, where?
First OVA episode was released in TV I think. Full BDs are on the 29th of November if you missed the trailers I've been spamming.

Like I said, the show staff has to be willing to fight back against it and still make a good product. MLP started well but the pull of gravity prevailed there.
Oh yeah, MLP was good because the staff had a vision to make something beyond a toy advertisement.
