Still watching this for some reason. The classroom scenes were a bit stupid but the later scene with
Petrarca easily cutting through Shinichi excuses was great.

Goddamn Rinno-kun was such a cuntish jackass. Why the hell should anybody vote for you for class president huh? You're the guy who has massive daddy issues and runs away from home as a cry for attention right? Also I have it on good authority that you're a heroin addict. And you're an ass. Maybe you should realize this before you go on to fail at life by pissing off everybody you meet.

President Tamaki Reika is pretty worrying, but better than president shitfuck Rinno-dick.

e: Also did Aiko really say "She hasn't taken a dump in days" in the preview? Awesome. Aiko should be class president.

No, completely different person.

"W-we haven't even developed a subplot yet!"

The claims of porniness were not idle. This one was still pretty funny though. I'm learning so much!

STUDY STUDY STUDY

The last episode is pretty cool in what it focuses on and what it accomplishes.

Pretty great. Best episode of the season other than every Kill la Kill episode. Choreography could have been more creative, but definitely a lot of cool stuff happening. I also like the whole "do I look normal to you" thing, even if it's damn cliche.

I shouldn't be enjoying this show, but I am, dammit. Something about the MC makes this really enjoyable to watch despite the fact that the two main girls are super cliche.

This was vaguely meta. I think this one was actually my favorite episode. I liked the way they brought all the girls back to help out.

Overall this was a fun and funny series with a beautiful dub. The ecchi at times was a little bit too much for me, but I could roll with it because I liked the show as a whole. A big help is Kintaro's character. He's a pervert, but he's a good guy and he always leaves before anything actually happens with the girl, so he doesn't come off too skeevy.

Plus this show is just so informative! Study study study study study study study study.

Pop and Hana-chan will one day be the rulers of every living being in existence and will be able to have you dead right on command if they wnated to, but probably wouldn't cause they're not like that. Also Atarimeko-chan would be ruler of something too.

That's a damn fine voice cast, I should actually get to reading the manga too.

I'm liking the game club's designs. Can't wait to see some of the crazy gags in motion.

When is this supposed to air anyway?

Chihayafuru OVA - Poor Sumire. Your plan came to naught. Was nice seeing a non Karuta focused story. I really hope this isn't the last piece of Chihayafuru animation we get.

"Game creation club" eh? Won't watch unless their output is realistically amateur.

Their output is essentially nothing beyond a few things with rules that make no sense. The other game creation club's output (which the main club stole the name of and slapped on a "temp" at the end) is pretty good though.

Comparing and contrasting single parents. This episode was a little depressing simply because of the tone of resignation the whole thing had. I sort of have mixed feelings about it though, bottling up your feelings is never a good thing, and it kind of felt like that whole conservative Japanese culture was going on here. At the very least she could try to talk to her husband. Eh, I dunno. It was still a good episode, I'm just slightly iffy on the "moral".

Also, you're gonna have to wait until April for more Puchimas, since that's when the new season starts. They'll be rerunning the first season from January through March.

There's an interview with the director in that Dengeki article, though of course I can't really understand any of it. Well, except for the part where he says his first time playing iM@S was the PSP version, with Iori.

Can't wait to see the future manga chapters get animated.

Masako is a kind of interesting character. She's kind pathetic, but sympathetic. She obviously regrets giving up Rin, but she probably wasn't capable of caring for her. She's the opposite of Daikichi: Sacrificing a child for work. I like the timespan of this series, it seems like it's around an episode per month or something?

Daikichi/Yukari OTP.

Going international with the ad money and the power of witchery. Apparently it's faster to go through the witch world to get to America. Neat. Anything to help Beth.

*sees preview for 44* SHIT! AIKO EPISODE!

Fucking economy.
Fucking hitting Aiko out of anger but only because he lost his job and couldn't support her. FRIENDS helped here, and Reika and her father got Aiko's dad hired for the job. I mean I know this shouldn't just go to Reika, but they really did a number for her since the start of the season. I know before this one, she probably wouldn't actually bother convincing her dad to help them.

I mean shit, that's what you call a tight knit circle or something. Who knows, this possibly also helped with Aiko's mom and dad getting closer... maybe.

Woo, I'm back!

X TV 12

This is the place where you know the series is going to go, but you don't want to see it go. Much like several of the characters themselves would like to change the oncoming future, but are unable to. CLAMP's story taps into the theme of fate vs. human agency, predestination vs. free will, a theme which has occupied both philosophers and ordinary men for the span of recorded history. Can we change the future by our actions or is everything preordained by some power over us? I imagine it's taking this theme and wrapping it up in the personal tragedy of Kamui, Fuma, and Kotori that has gained this series its fans. The handling of Fuma's character in particular is troubling to me here, but I'll give some more thought to it.

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see where the second half of the series goes, now that the buildup is over and things have been blown wide open. It's a good midpoint.

I always think I'm the only person who has watched this show/has an interest in it but I guess that's silly as it's a CLAMP property coming off a major movie (a movie that I haven't seen in its entirety, admittedly).

Hope you enjoy it. The points you made are, arguably, analyzed further in the manga but it stopped abruptly. :( I would have recommended reading it if not for that (unless you wanted to see how thing unfold differently in the manga vs the anime vs the movie).

Pacific Rim

I have just witnessed the child of action/mech anime and Hollywood cinematography. Too damn good. I don't give a shit if it's not real anime, this movie had so many anime-vibes to it.
