Man this show is at its worst when it's about Ichika and fighting and this episode was just both of these. Thankfully Russia was here to save the day. The developments this episode also will make the salt even worse when she gets harem'd.

Also I have to say that Magi has only shown 1 episode, but is doing better then One Piece in regards to the whole

I'll have to put it on my list of shows to take a look at. Just quickly looking it up though and I saw it mentioned that the show is based off of a character from the Tenchi Muyo! series. I haven't seen any of that show either. Do you need to have any familiarity with it or is Sammy pretty much a stand alone work?
While I saw you making posts about the series I can't recall if you mentioned the second TV series, Sasami: Magical Girls Club, or not. Have you watched any of it? It looks like it has different designs and is said to be set in more of an alternate timeline or universe. Since it was a bit different I was wondering how you thought it compared if you watched any of it.
