Man, Hana-chan was quite possibly at her most adorable yet. Not sure how wise it is to let a one-year-old dig up sweet potatoes though. But whatever. Her pulling the sweet potatoes looked an awful lot like her trying to take a dump. I thought she was just going to shit her pants there. But she pulled them out cause she's awesome. Oh and her watching that kids' show and doing that dance was cute as hell too.
Great Aiko episode too. Liked how her plan was to not try to trick Hana-chan, but to get her in with the sweet potatoes, help them dig them out, letting her see the fruits (vegetables) of the labor of all of the farmers who grew them. And the earthworms who loosen up all the dirt (another adorable Hana-chan moment). And hell, even let her help in the preparation of the food.
Personally I'm not much of a sweet potato fan. But sweet potato fries are amazing.
I think something kinda went over my head with this episode with it being sold similarly to # 40, even if the difference was acknowledged.
Also, I had no idea, but Manga Entertainment put both Aria the Animation and Aria the Natural on their youtube channel. I guess Rightstuff lost the streaming rights or they were just sold to Manga Entertainment.
(They also have all of the Sora no Woto episodes, including the two OVAs!)
Speaking of Aria, I didn't post my final impressions of The Natural since I guess I would sum up my series thoughts with The Origination. Definitely enjoyed it more than S1, so much world building, so many charming characters, a gender bending episode that I never want to see again. Also from the OVA:

UNF UNF UNF. Can everyone in this show just have short hair?

You mean the daydream she had in the OVA? I don't remember if she had a haircut or not, but Akari without those pigtails would look wrong. Akira and Aika however, UNF UNF.
Wait shit I'm just discovering that most (if I included Hime and Maa-shachou that is) character's names in Aria start with A. I'm not sure if it's relevant at all but it's sort of blowing my mind right now.
So if you remember... I believe, the last episode of Sharp, it's kinda similar
mainly Momoko going through memory lane. She's possessed yo, and we need to save her.
The Queen however, is getting involved since they were off to rescue Momoko. I can't see this ending well. Not sure how I'm going to feel. In a way, there were elements that feel similar to Sharp, which were done to fit Momoko into the mold. Like the episode where Momoko tries too hard to be a good mother, and this one.
Took a while to finish this. Ate food, felt like I hated myself. Not a good feeling when you're done with food.

I can't remember, because I have both the manga and anime mixed up at times. It's essentially one of the last things in the manga:
Also, if you are bored, you may want to track down some of the audio dramas that have been subbed or at least translated. One of them features a nice little segment that takes place after the series.
Dope - nevermind, the tumblr that the guy posted the script to seems to have disappeared.
Some of the others are around though.
This was overall a great show. Started off pretty light-hearted, but got surprisingly dramatic by the end. It always maintained a light touch though. I had some character stuff I would've like to know more on, mainly
why Kaisei refused to show herself, why the mom has the whole Black Prince thing, and why Benten is the way she is. I know they were going for a "she just wants things to be interesting" thing, but I felt like there was still a bit too much left unexplained. Why was she crying? She didn't used to be like this, why is she? Why did she revert back to how she was at the end?
Still though, good characters, great art, both fun and emotional. Good show.

It was definitely a daydream in the OVA, some miscellaneous apprentice comes into Aria Company while Akari notices she's a Prima, and Ai's there too for some reason. Whatever it was, it didn't look like that panel of the manga (which I'm definitely going to read because I NEED A CONCLUSION).
The opening minutes of this feel like the opening to a movie (despite the production values being anything but) due to the music and how it quickly intercuts between Jojo and Dio's very contrasting upbringing. It sets the larger-than-life stage well. The crazy pacing also makes Dio's villainy entertaining to watch, but I'm looking forward to when the material gets a bit more interesting.

Black Prince thing just struck me as representation of her role as a surrogate father in addition to being the surviving mother.. Thought Benten was fine in her role as she was like a bridge between the three races but losing a bit of what made her human in doing so such that she's isolated. Hence the feeling of loneliness and the constant need to find something interesting to see or do to alleviate the malaise.

Whyyyyyy does the cg have to be so bad? Every cg element looks out of place. There's no sense of speed when they show cg shots of them pedaling. It reminds me of the cg guitar playing in BECK, but worse and more frequent. It's a shame because pretty much everything else about the show is great. Onoda might be the most adorably geeky character ever, I just want to hug him.
I really don't know if you'd like it. It's all over the top action with some occasional training. Once episode 3 hits, it's just nonstop craziness with little time to breathe. I can at least partially understand why you would like part 3, what with the OVAs being well animated and Stand fights being very strategic in nature, but what the TV anime (currently) covers features a more basic fighting style and characters that are only there to be badass and pose.
No reset button either! We move one step closer to lifting the Frog Curse! TOMODACHI WA MAHOU DESU. As much as I'm happy with not having a reset button here... it doesn't feel like an ending... well I guess considering what we dealt with in the first two seasons, and here, it's not surprising. I guess we won't deal with the lolololWe need you to be witches and jump through hoops like Superman, but I'd be counting my chickens too soon.
Other than that. I don't know.... I feel like at some point... the tone got lighter for a brief period of time before it shifted away from that.
Magical Stages were obviously the worst here, but we had some catchy beats, a beloved one returning for this episode.
Onpu got better, best news. Momoko was a good addition to the cast. She does give me Minako vibes. Hana.... I felt like there was something familiar with her... maybe not. Hana was so good, and I'm generally not a fan of baby characters. Doremi is Doremi, and Hazuki... well at least we didn't see her suffer onscreen from her mother. Pop certainly felt more neglected here, but I'm hoping she gains more importance in Naisho, but mainly Dokkaan!
I enjoyed how they changed up some dynamics as well as characters based on class arrangements, mainly because the universe in general, feels like a complex web of connections between everyone, which gives them some form of importance. Even the random schmuck that seemed to come from nowhere. Also how Momoko's existence brought in a new flavor to the show.
Again though, I think... around the midpoint climax, the series did feel like it was getting a bit lighter, and then straying back, but then straying towards that again, so in a way, I think it's kind of interfering with how I'm feeling, maybe. Although I'm glad it did break some of the mold around this franchise.
So after much persuasion by a friend, downloaded Kamidori Alchemy Meister. It plays a bit like Fire Emblem with the moving to squares and automatic attacks thing, which I like. As to the eroge stuff, according to him the game is so large they don't comprise much of the over-all experience so that over-all it's an rpg VN adventure. I'm down with the gangstas.
The announcement was for a "theatrical project", which was exactly what S1 was - released in theatres before it got the TV airing. I would suspect what will be coming out next year is S2 released the same way.

Ended up watching Sword of the Stranger with a friend. Thought it was great. Honestly, I think I liked it because it was just solid from beginning to end. No weird plot issues or pacing— pretty straightforward character motivations and story. And I think everything that needs to be said about the animation has been said. Some spectacular stuff, with the highlight of course being Yutaka Nakamura's fight scene. Also, I'd like to see more Tsunenori Saito character designs. He can't be wasted on stuff like Blast of Tempest.
Hah, it's on the to-watch list! Does the Dirty Pair movie work as a stand alone film? I love Dirty Pair, but have never watched the TV series properly all the way through. (something I should probably rectify)
