I presume there's less money involved if the LNs are finished though. There's less of a need to promote the LN series. (which is usually the purpose of most of these adaptations).

Wow, so I did some research on the LN sales for FMP as I was curious and this really was informative.
So the original LN sales for FMP seem to have been great. It was ranked #10 from LN sales from 1979-2008.

There are other spin off light novels, manga adaptations, manga spin offs, etc. It's not like this is some dormant franchise which Kadokawa doesn't care about anymore.
The real problem is probably an issue of financing. As an anime series, FMP doesn't really sell that great, and for projects meant to just promote source material, it makes no sense to spend too much. Kadokawa in particular seems to be wary of overspending after being burnt on shows like Gosick and Nichijou. Recently they seem to prefer picking really cheap studios, and making shorter productions - like those 10 episode shows they've been involved in.
If Gotoh has a say in adaptations of his work, he would probably want KyoAni to be involved because he has a close working relationship with the studio. But the cost involved in such an adaptation might be untenable for Kadokawa.
Time to backpedal everything.
There's no more FMP because the ARX-8 Laevatein is too good for this shitty CG robot future we live in now.

They would have to cover the Christmas cruise arc, Leonard's assault on Merida and Jindai, Sousuke's time with Lemon and WORST GIRL NAMI, the reunion of Mythril, the flashback to Mythril's origin, the deployment of the ARX-8 and failed attempt at rescuing Kaname, the events at Yamsk-11, and the nuclear bomb threat/final assault on Merida by Sousuke all in that amount of time.
That or cut stuff. And boo to that.
I'd probably give a toe for it to happen, though.

So another Japan thingie. This time, Bourdain goes back to Tokyo... but rather than a typical meditation on ramen and sushi, he went insane:
I can't really explain the opening 5 minutes, but I felt like I was on acid just watching him be confused by what he was experiencing. lol
Funny enough, he sent the "B team" to a Meido Cafe and had them do the moe moe kyun thing to the random people who pay for such things. lol
But of all the diversions in the episode (which includes hanging out with a dominatrix), this was probably the weirdest one:
Apparently this was the seminal (teehee) work in, what Bourdain calls, the "tentacle porn manga" genre.
I did like how he ended it though - rather than judge Japan on its weirdness, he inverts it by saying that, as an outlet in their culture, it doesn't manifest itself in the ample violence that you see in America. A nice way to flip the script in the whole "Japan is weird" narrative anyway.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure TV 12-13
Battle Tendency so far has had a little better animation than Phantom Blood. It's still in relatively low amounts, but not as low on the whole. It's nice, because it meshes with how much more interesting and lively the situations are. What's struck me in particular is how there's multiple villains who get taken out in succession, unlike Phantom Blood which only had one villain
. It makes for a more enjoyable narrative progression.
And the next thing I'll say is "Whoa!"
I don't hate it, I just think it's not as good as the first OP.

So looking at some other LN stuff, it certainly seems like an argument could be made for FMP Another's anime adaptation as it was selling close to Hyouka's LN was(about 6k under), during the anime airing boost(early 2012). The problem with FMP Another is not just that it's a spinoff but also a semi-sequel as well so people can't just jump in. So I'm wondering if this is a case where Kadokawa wants to fund a FMP Another anime but realize that they have to wrap up the OG series but don't want to spend the money on it.
They could do some of the stuff in OVAs or something like Episode 0 in order to hype up the new season. It definitely would be tight and they would have to rework some stuff. If they did another season, it almost certainly would be the final one so they would have to cram everything in.

I'm crazy impressed by how large Shiori's library is. That's bigger than the vast majority of public libraries here in the US. Are there really that many Japanese language books worth cataloging in a school library?
Shiori's story really isn't THAT great, and the romance is pretty awful if you think of how it would end up in a long-term kind of thing. But all the elements are just so perfect for this short term kind of thing.

Well this sounds pretty fascinating. I remember he did a show in this area about cajun food/boucheries. Always liked him more than Andrew Zimmern who is a pansy and cant even handle durian.

France and Germany (and seemingly Russia?) appearing might offer some solace. At the very least it'll have Hanazawa.
I could probably enjoy the series on some level if it weren't for Houki. She is just basically everything I hate in a chartacter: boring entitled childhood friend and a tsundere except there is no dere, only lots of pointless anger followed by moping about "why doesn't he like me? Is it because I'm such a massive bitch?".
If she wore glasses, I'd have dropped this within five minutes.

Normally, I would enjoy an ending like this were the emotions ran high and the conflict between all the characters is resolved amicably.
But this just left me with a horrible taste in my mouth after seeing Rei giving up his spot so Rin could swim with everyone. The last few minutes did help somewhat with them interacting together and the picture, but there's no denying that they made it feel like he's permanently the fifth wheel among everyone. Which leads me to ask, what honestly was the point of the earlier drama if it was going to end up this poorly?
That said, I do think this is one of the better animes I watched this year. Animation, music, and character interaction were all great. While I still have problems about how some things ended up, I do think Haru, Rei, and Rin all had decent amount of character development throughout the season. I particularly loved seeing Haru show more emotion when interacting with everyone compared to his emotionless self way back in the beginning. Sadly, I can't say the same for Makoto, whose development still felt very unnecessary, and Nagisa, who pretty much stayed the same. Gou's fangirling moments were definitely some of the highlights in the show and provided for some very good comedic relief.
Final Best Guy Ranking:
Rei > Haru > Makoto > Captain > Rin > Coach > Nagisa > Nitori
If I were to decide an overall ranking with the girls then Gou would be just behind Rei and Sensei would be between Makoto and Captain.
8/10 Good. Would have rated this a 9, if not for the poor drama and the ending.

I love this show and this season. Such great music and lots of feels and laughs. It's also the season that made me realize how much I liked Elsie
because she was gone most of the time. The episode where she came back at the end was amazing

Feels nice in that nothing seems to be taken seriously, which drags out Pixy Misa's true charms into the front and center even more in comparison to the OVAs.
They didn't do much to teach Konoha from being a shit bag, and she apparently has a boner for a boy in her class. Meanwhile, BUDDINGS of Misao and That boy whose name I forgot. The one that could be summed up as "Ahhh bitch I look like Goku".
