Been catching up on this series these past few days ... I like it! For the most part at least.
Things seemed like they were about to heat up on episode 45 but when I clicked on it I discovered that it's not out yet! I thought the series was over ... damn it.
Watched the first episode of the first Pretty Cure series just to see what it's like. Very interesting seeing how far it's changed from that to this ... very interesting indeed.

Monogatari is a show about hopeless loser Araragi and his underage vampire sidekick, and how Araragi constantly rejects pretty girls plagued by albino animal spirits because he already has a girlfriend that he never spends any time with ever.
Also Oshino Ougi is the worst girl in this show and can please burn her fucking creepy face in a fire far far far far far away from me. I'll take Shinobu big or small over this hideous nightmare creature any day of the week, thanks. That goddamn unnatural wax face. How do you make a cartoon character's face look so fake?

Prince of Tennis TV series wish had something like this.
I'm quite big of NBA fan, and I enjoy it greatly.
Its definitely not following the true spirit of the sport, but Kuroko actually capturing the other thing that bball fan can find it cool.
Highlight reel moment, Kuroko putting effort to those "hype" moment in basketball like dunk, crossover, stylish-pass.. and clutch moment
If you enjoying watching NBA superstar goes iso and bring glory by himself, you'll see that in Kuroko, in exciting way.

Picking up where I left off. These aren't kindergarteners. I DON'T BELIEVE IT IN THE SLIGHTEST!
Although I kind of wonder if the first image has a bit of validity when it comes to console wars. Anyway, thankfully, it's less lewd than before. "The Special Spot" scene was pretty neat to say the least.

Ehh, it's cute. nice lil stories with lil morals to them. Find it funny how, for some reason, everyone who has their heart transformed aren't actually assholes and would have just gotten over their problem if left alone. Plus, the heart animation reminds me of old school cartoony animation.
I also think it's very pattern based ... to a fault actually. Sure, I like seeing each character grow and get focus in their own episode but then it just becomes a waiting game to see what's next after 4-5 episodes.
Also don't like how the series seems to be going into end-game mode but Ace and Heart are still the only ones who seem like they can hold their own solo. It's good that as a group they have gotten stronger in the show's power creep but it would be good to see them all get to have their own punch beam finisher instead of having to do it via comity.
Also find it very strange that they're just raising this baby ... as if that's a normal thing to expect from a group of teenaged girls. That and the "My Magical Rich Friend!" stuff rubs me the wrong way but ehh ...
Been popping through them none-stop and skipping some so don't take my opinion as much lol!
ALSO, does anyone know the name of that anime about a girl that seemed to be set in a hospital where other characters were doctors?!? I think it came out with in the past 2-3 years ... I remember people here saying that the adults in that series where very interesting.
Think I can probably do my Official Season Ranking now.
1. Yowamushi Pedal
The most hot blooded show of the season. BURNING SHONEN PASSION works so much better than anything Lance was peddling.
2. Valvrave
Valvrave is back and ready to fuck with your mind! At first it slowed down the pace compared to the last season but it came roaring back to life in the last few episodes. Just a fantastic journey of mind fuckery.

3. Kyousougiga
I'm just surprised they were able to make sense out of the original episode! There might have been a bit much reused animation for those that watched the original, but as its own thing it's a great story set in a mysterious world that revolves around a crazy and wonderful family. One of the two shows this season to bring the tears.
4. Meganebu!
The show only 3 people here watched. It's a shame too because it's a great episodic comedy show with some awesome references. How can a show that references both Jojo AND Ace Attorney be bad!? It also has a fantastic art style and sense of colour that, like Kyousougiga, really gives it a unique identity. More people should give it a shot, No Megane No Life!
5. Nagi No Asukara
This show probably frustrates me more than any other show this season yet I still love it. A story of romance set on the border of land and sea. We follow a group of school friends from their underwater village as they attend their new school on land. There's a lot of frustration with some of the characters at first, with lots of backwards attitudes that they need to overcome. But in the end it's been really rewarding with some fantastic tear jerker moments.
6. Gundam Build Fighters
A kids tie-in show done right. Nice characters, a fun premise and HOT 2D MECHA! This is my first experience with the Gundam license and I'm loving it. Now where's my GBF video game w/ gunpla portal!?
7. Kill la Kill
Probably the biggest disappointment of the season. Not that it's bad but after LWA and Inferno Cop I guess I was expecting too much. Fairly poor animation that's held up but a solid visual style, terrible choice of music and little correlation with it and the action on screen and a focus on the least interesting character in the show. I'm hoping the second half will bring some more oomph in all areas, it needs it.
8. Ace of the Diamond
The other sports show I'm watching. It went through a pretty rough patch, super slow pacing, few unique characters, it was taking it's time to get anywhere. Yowapedal is fairly slow paced too, but even when it takes multiple episodes to complete a race it's exciting all the way through, this was just boring for a long while. Then they introduced Chris, the third year pitcher. It gave the show the BURNING SHONEN PASSION it needed so desperately. Hopefully it can keep the excitement and manly feels going forward.
9. Samurai Flamenco
A couple episodes ago I was about ready to place this near the top of my list. It was a nice slice of life with fun characters in a believable world...and then

It just made for a confusing experience. The latest episode was more enjoyable and if they can keep to this tone I'll stick around, even if it isn't what I came for.

Dropping it earlier would be entirely understandable, but unfortunately, I kept going.
Well, I guess she does enhance some of the drama by being as incredibly stupid as she is, so it worked, but it makes for very unpleasant viewing...
Seriously? The series rehashes an idea that wasn't very good the first time? Lazy... and yeah, sad.
Given the complexity of the story, there's no way that Arata Kangatari could have been coherent in just 12 episodes.

Raising babies with teenagers/younger than that seem to be a normal thing in these shows because I DON'T KNOW!
However, your comment about Heart and Ace is definitely spot on, as it's one of the things that really bothers me, and is one of the contributing factors that makes Rosetta the most disappointing character of the show, as well as a Shield Cure.
I don't entirely recommend skipping episodes though, even if it is painful, consider there's generally more plot related elements here than say.... Smile Precure.

Yeah, the whole thing with Ai is just super strange. I remember her doing a spell to make Heart's mom think that was her baby so that she would chill in the house ... that raises nothing but questions. I mean, WTF!?! So only the people who live there think that's their baby? No one there thinks it's odd that they have no pictures of this baby or of the mother being pregnant with her? Does the mother simply NOT talk about the baby with her friends (who would not be apart of the baby spell)? Cause I'm pretty damn sure moms talk about their kids a lot with their friends ... and said friends would remember if you where with child recently or not. And ON TOP OF THAT .... why would a mother allow her new born baby to be raised by her tween-aged daughter? This baby is sleeping in Hearts room and being feed by her ... would make more sense if Ai made everyone thing Heart was a teenage-mom. And does the mother NOT wonder about who is taking care of the baby when she;s gone to work?
And yeah, Rosetta is a full on let down. They keep giving her stuff as if they're gonna buff her only to have her NEVER use that trick again. Like when her Shield broke in half and she was lie "Fuck that, I'm in my ZONE!!" and grabbed the halves to use them as fan-blades ... she never did that again. Or when she actually sucked up a beam into her shield and spit it back out (someone there actually said "OHHH, YOU REFLECTED IT!!!") ... been waiting for her to do that again. But nope, she settled on being the shield they give their power to so that she can push her shield at someone ...
But atleast that gave her "stuff" even if she never uses it again. Diamond and Sword only have "Spam whirlwind of freezing ice/ tiny do-nothing-blades". Sword should just be named Arrow or something ... cause that makes no sense.
And yeah, I don't skip much but a filler looking episode can have more to it than it seems. Skipped a Ace episode and in the episode after that suddenly she has a 5 min limit and I'm like "Wut?!?

Like when her Shield broke in half and she was lie "Fuck that, I'm in my ZONE!!" and grabbed the halves to use them as fan-blades ... she never did that again. Or when she actually sucked up a beam into her shield and spit it back out (someone there actually said "OHHH, YOU REFLECTED IT!!!") ... been waiting for her to do that again. But nope, she settled on being the shield they give their power to so that she can push her shield at someone ...
But atleast that gave her "stuff" even if she never uses it again. Diamond and Sword only have "Spam whirlwind of freezing ice/ tiny do-nothing-blades". Sword should just be named Arrow or something ... cause that makes no sense.
And yeah, I don't skip much but a filler looking episode can have more to it than it seems. Skipped a Ace episode and in the episode after that suddenly she has a 5 min limit and I'm like "Wut?!?
5 minute limit was the dumbest thing ever. The funny part is that it isn't even relevant after two of the baddies get killed off. And yet they bothered to address it in 45. At least they got that over with.
The other disappointment is the fact that Alice was given anger problems... that get handwaved away in her second episode. The removal of that character flaw pretty much brought her up to near-perfect status, to the point that her episodes afterwards are more to make other people feel better about themselves.
Sword... oh man, 45 might make you feel like she's just there. No thanks to Cure Ace.

I even forgot to mention that part. Yes, that did kind of bug me. At the same time, she could've been like 18 or something, and she dropped out, so she was no longer a student.

A lot of things happen in the first episode even and no-one seems to care.
I fear when the "male in female dominated profession" part came up that the show will be focusing on "how cool we harem lead now" rather than the actual implications that entails. But I could also be pleasantly surprised.

The thing is Ichika's supporting cast are all so god damned amazing due to the fact ichika is denser than a black hole, that I think the show wouldn't be as good if ichika had a back bone.

I know what you guys are doing and it won't work. You just have to accept that there's more innocence here than the typical naked-transformation-panty-flashing-strange-glowing-cream-spills-inuendo-laden anime. You just want to drag this show down to those levels so you can beat it to death with a lewd stick.

IIRC they leave right after she graduates. Sure it's probably all "legal", but it's still weird.
You know, in many ways, the show ends up being like Servant x Service inasmuch as it's a workplace sitcom... but with precocious kids. Expect that kind of material!
Well, the problem there is that since they basically take every opportunity to hit him or try to hit him, it doesn't make sense why he's an idiot any more.
The limp way that the series ends is sort of symbolic of everything that was wrong with this season... you'd think it would be just as easy as showing all the girls naked in an onsen while they talk about molesting each other's breasts. But you need way more than that to make a good one of these.

Why would they be villainous when they used to be on the same team, I love how they all care deeply about each other knowing all aspects to them. At that point in time Kise was my fave, still one of them too. Favorite regulars are Koga, Izuki, Takao, and Sakurai. Third best sports series after Free! And Haikyuu!!
