What are you talking about?
Humanity being caught so off guard by the queerrat rebellion and humanity's arrogance being rubbed in the viewer's face.
for us to lose.

I associate you with "edgy" stuff. Hmm, perhaps it's if you and SDBurton had a love child. :SDcosmic
I hate our species as much as the next misanthrope but I'm getting really tired of these stories in science fiction, particularly when logic has to really be bentHumanity being caught so off guard by the queerrat rebellion and humanity's arrogance being rubbed in the viewer's face.for us to lose.

My image of Ikuhara is deteriorating....When Ikuhara firs saw oppai mousepads he thought they were a great invention, and was jealous that in his works there was no character with big boobs.
He wants an oppai mousepad of one of his characters.
Ikuhara: "I think there were few people that realized, when Gundam was first airing, that it was creating a new genre called Real Robot. I expect Yuri Kuma to become this for yuri anime."
Oh, ok. Jack Bauer with yuri and big boobs. And bears.Producer: "it's an anime that, like the CTU where Jack Bauer works on in 24, has that western TV series element of "anybody can be guilty". It's an Ikuhara yuri series with new elements in it."

"Yuri Kuma Arashi is a story about Yuri meeting bears and causing a storm."
Thanks Ikuhara. That really clears up my questions about the story.
I guess I have been posting more about edgy stuff than the more optimistic action shounen stuff I was originally known for posting about. That's more just me juggling other stuff than any reflection on my watching/reading/playing habits.
The most legitimate complaint I can come up with is how inconsistent the telekinesis is.How is logic being bent?
It's "like a sushi man meeting a space fisherman meeting a mole person, it's an unbelievable combination."
What's else is there to know?

About the pantsu:
He was in doubt about how much to show. After talking to both man and women, the woman said "I think you'd better show them". He tried on that PV and became convinced.
Because a character that women wouldn't like would be bad for this kind of show.

This gives me so much hope...Ikuhara: "I know I'm a beginner in this genre and can't compare to people that have been doing it for a long time. But as I worked on it I realized there are plenty of things that aren't being made, and came to think I might be able to do something new with yuri anime."
The movie stars Chihiro, a girl who has lost her parents and finds herself in a strange world populated by creatures who's designs can only come from a madman. If she wishes to survive in this world she must give up everything that she once was and become the ideal employee for the hideous Yubaba. She is mistreated by all the other employees because humans are not to be trusted. It is only with the help of No Face is she able to escape the clutches of the foul witch and make her way back to her own world.
I'll admit, I didn't "get" this film the first time I watched it had to look up others' analysis. (I blame sleep deprivation and illness) The best comparison one could make is this is Japan's Alice in Wonderland where a girl is sucked into a mysterious and foreboding world. Chihiro loses her identity as she adapts to her new world. Many compare this to growing up, throwing away your childish self to be born anew as a more mature person. This film also deals with themes of greed and selfishness as seen with the bathhouse patrons who only look out for themselves when No Face takes over the facility.
As expected from a Ghibli film, the productions values are amazing and it's a treat to just to experience the visual ride. I knew I was in for treat when her parents first transformed into beasts. For the most part, I enjoyed the film. However I believe it's something that needs to be viewed multiple times to truly appreciate it. I'll probably watch it again in the near future to see if I can come up with some more insightful analysis myself.

women tend to make up the majority of yuri mag readership numbers and there's a huge crossover with yaoi reading fujoshi so i wouldnt really paint titillating yuri stuff as wank material for straight males
Oh, am I wrong? I'll freely admit that I don't read a lot of Manga or read a lot of American comic books. Perhaps my perspective has been warped by what I've been exposed to (especially in the realm of anime)? Do you have sources to back you assertions (just so I could follow up on matters as opposed to me not believing you).

My issue with a lot of homosexual material in Japanese media is that it's less an effort to tell an interesting or compelling story with these characters, regardless of how far into the forefront their sexuality is presented and pushed, and more an attempt to titillate the opposite heterosexual audience. That is to say, most yuri shows are made with heterosexual male titillation in mind and most yaoi is made with heterosexual female titillation in mind. That in itself is actually ok but when that is nearly ALL that is offered with barely an attempt at actual characterization and what not it comes off as hollow and cynical :/ Pandering as opposed to actual representation.
I have no idea if this Lesbian Bear show or whatever will make any attempt to write interesting characters with endearing relationships but it would be very pleasant to see - it's not something that is inherently incompatible with however much fanservice they will jam into that show, its just a matter if they try to do it and are actually skilled at doing it.
I do have to LOL about the oppai pad comments. It's so absurd you can only smile and laugh. I'm also kind of surprised that female feedback apparently had a big hand in some of the fanservice. Not that it's like mindblowing or anything, finding females who enjoy the female form regardless of orientation isn't hard, but it still wouldn't the the response I would expect. Maybe that's a sign the show leans more towards the cute and endearing than creepy?
comic yuri hime's the biggest there is (in a slowly dying market) which also had a male oriented spinoff thats deeeeaaaaaaaad :batman
e: that 70% kinda old so things mightve changed if only 7th & busterbeam were here to school my pleb ass
double e: read KASE-SAN for the GOAT yuri series
The Sono Hanabira visual novels as well I seem to recall having a fairly large fanbase that was female as well.comic yuri hime's the biggest there is (in a slowly dying market) which also had a male oriented spinoff thats deeeeaaaaaaaad :batman

really "moe" series like yuruyuri & the stuff you tend to find in manga time kirara & its various spinoffsWhat even is "male oriented"? Porn? Because I'd assume it's just porn.

most of the porny stuff is actually read by women! (see yuri hime wildrose)
hey now dont diss hidasketch, yuyushiki, kinmoza, and that rabbit show from two seasons back!Ah, moe. The worst.

Hmm, unless Yuri Hime is mostly comprised of erotic content, it would make sense to me that the erotic content would be chiefly aimed at men. You could draw the conclusion that the spinoff targeted solely at men wasn't successful because men were already reading the original magazine.really "moe" series like yuruyuri & the stuff you tend to find in manga time kirara & its various spinoffs

Your avatar is pretty moe.
Ah, moe. The best.
yeah thats pretty much the main reason why it died. the content still tends to range from the fairly light stuff where the most you'll see is a kiss at the end if at all to the more risque end of town. still predominantly women reading it afaikHmm, unless Yuri Hime is mostly comprised of erotic content, it would make sense to me that the erotic content would be chiefly aimed at men. I watched this with Mike and it is the third Ghibli movie I have seen. Of the movies I have seen from Miyazaki, this has to be the most bizarre.

If she wishes to survive in this world she must give up everything that she once was and become the ideal employee for the hideous Yubaba. It took me years but I finished watching all of Hidamari Sketch... the final episode(Graduation OVA) was beautiful and had me in tears.
Now I feel dead inside, I always had an episode or two of Hidamari Sketch to watch and I never thought I'd actually finish watching it all(I'm really slow with Slice of Life anime), maybe I should read the manga or something.... sigh.
