They referenced the bean tossing bit at the end of every episode of Sazae-san, right down to the part where they stopped doing it because it was a choking hazard.
Also there was the dancing in the fruit bit as well which is at the end of Sazae-san's OPs.
A few chuckles were had in the first two parts but the final part was absolutely hilarious. The new ED isn't too bad either! Who knows I may properly resume Gintama again!
Or I'll watch some more random Sazae-san episodes.

I liked the way the new Shinichi is slowly discovering how cold/cynical he's turning, with Satomi and the dad being the reminder of what he used to be. And as the episode progress, Satomi is getting further and further away from him.
I think if she or someone like her is not going to be present, Shinichi is going to continue becoming more like Migi to the point where it fully changes his way of acting and thinking. Especially with the new guy around. Tachikawa deathflags raised.
During the ANN podcast with them, they said that they are looking in Blu-Ray for certain titles for 2015. They also mentioned in the same podcast that Utena has been very successful for them. I think it's somewhat likely to happen.
Gillettes snap out of the "mindspell" or whatever it was felt weird, cut his hand off and suddenly he regains his memory? Red Chaika admitting defeat to protect David(?) was.. shocking truth?
Hey Toru, you know what would be good right about now? A contract with a Dragoon, don't you think? I'm still waiting for Gaz to jump out of daughter Chaika.. Oh yeah where did the super weapon and Guy go?
It's really nice seeing Shinichi's personality change. Also
Shinichi seemed human by removing the puppy from the street, but then he threw the puppy in the trash can like it was nothing. And then he buried the dog instead because of Murano's reaction, but that educational commentary.
I felt bad but damn were those scenes hilarious. Then the dad mentions if Shinichi was made of steel Ahahahahahahahaha.
Watching this to get acquainted with the characters before playing P:Q, as I didn't really feel like playing through a full Persona game without total party control (and no, I won't buy a PSP/Vita for P3P).
Got bored half way, which never happens to me with anime. Everything from the characters to the plot to the designs are meh. Maybe the game is better with social links and actual character interaction inbetween plot events? Not sure the movies cover any of that.
Probably won't watch the rest of this and the second movie and just roll with the P4 cast unless someone convinces me otherwise.

The beginning is slow, but keep on watching because it gets a hell lot better once the plot gets in gear and the twists are revealed. So please watch the rest because man once you get to the end it'll be amazing, like it's worth it. Also story wise Persona 3 is better than 4 and I've played every persona game. Also you got to remember there's gonna be 5 movies so the first one was just an introduction to the story.
I forgot to mention you haven't even seen Agis yet, so yeah keep on watching. Though too bad you can't play the game since that's the full experience. My favorite Persona game out of the rest.

Maybe I'll give it a shot if you guys say it gets better later on. Is the main cast completely introduced in the first two movies? I guess probably not, considering how late you get Naoto in P4.
Redhead's backstory was pretty harsh, but you're okay in my book now missy. I like her eating stuff all the time, hnnng shaft food show so close.
I'm not a fan of cutting witch hunting time for the purpose of showing a lengthy part of Violin boy coming back to school and love confessions.
Though it does add some extra anchors to Sayaka descend into madness? Because she was enjoying that kill a little too much. But yeah, more witch hunting pleeaase.

Pretty good episode, the "romantic" stuff isn't as good as the S1 parts with Reiji and Aila, but it's not bad. Gyanko's faces are certainly good.
And the G Fighter's martial arts are hilarious.
That ED transition was very abrupt! I mean can't we appreciate Gyanko's death for a few seconds??
lol
Parasyte 08
I always liked the dog scene in showing how Shinichi has changed and grew more like Migi.
Maybe I didn't notice it in the manga but Shinichi's got like every girl pining on him now. Superior Parasite genes and Parasite hormones I guess!
So you think one of your classmates might possibly be a deadly shapeshifting alien, and you confront him alone. What could possibly go wrong?
I actually think the OST has been pretty good the last few episodes. I'm really looking forward to the next episode.
I fully expect the final boss to be a resurrected Gaz who fights like Senator Armstrong, and Toru and Fredrica have to gattai to beat him. I will accept no substitutes.
Okay I will accept a substitute in the form of End of Evangelion with Chaikas instead of Reis
Pretty good episode, best part was Fredrica dying for like the 5th time
I felt like going on a trip to good ol' Yamato so I decided to allocate my free time to watching some series set in the olden days with the first pick being Kurozuka.
From the beginning my full attention as grabbed by the tense atmosphere and cool artstyle, though granted like in the snip posted above I felt that in certain spots the direction was a bit overbearing? I looked the series up and saw that lolAraki is the director so that explains it.
Besides that though I really dug this first episode, the character of Kuromitsu in particular instantly interested me (she's damn (thumbs up) too) as the Yamato Nadeshiko with a sinister background. Definitely going to continue and am hoping the Araki steps it down a few notches with the :Araki.

I don't know if if it was because I was younger and less appreciative of the fiction I read, or it's because seeing it animated and voiced makes it more in-the-face, maybe it's because since then I watched a few more superhero movies like Sam Raimi's Spiderman, but it's curious how when I read the manga, I considered it as its own unique fiction, and now I can see easily all the parallelism with supers. He was the typical meek guy, he gains powers, he loses the glasses, he uses super hearing to go save people, he loses someone dear to him, he enters in an edgy phase, he fights others like him but evil... he just needs a cape lol.
So in these episodes they focused more on his changes, on what he lost, his deteriorating relationship with Murano, apart from a new Parasyte, of course.
Very interesting how the government seems to have noticed the monsters. It makes sense, you can kill so many people before someone sees something and reports it, and similar reports starts to accumulate on a desk.
Now, I was facepalming when glasses girl, even after she saw how the head changed and he couldn't be human, after talking with his brother and hear they are truly man-eating monsters, she go to TALK to him. Sigh. I get she was infatuated with him but after seeing the head morphs that should have changed. And of course she didn't say anything to the brother.

Oh, I had no idea. I read the manga, which to be honest was irregular. Very mixed, some good parts, some bad parts, incoherent or badly narrated in some areas...
How is the anime?
Yea, count me among the set that is not pleased with what they are doing with the female, well, I distaste to use the word characters since they are kind of lacking in that regard. If indeed this series seeks for my emotional investment then it needs to make them, you know, interesting. It is kind of sad actually that even the new colder Shinchi exudes more personality then any one of them.
I thought this battle would be fun to watch but it was basically Team Gynako getting the shit beaten out of them. As much as I dislike Sei I hope he fucking wrecks that team in the final. He must help restore Gyanko's pride!!
Anyways we have Shinichi showing people who's boss. The great thing about this episode was further seeing Shinichi's change through his interactions. I mean the poor dude wasn't able to let lose his tears. Also that Migi saying "I'll think of other ways to make you feel better", why you little tease. Migi such a bro. Man glasses girl you just signed your death wish in confronting the very dude you suspect of being a monster 😒 The OST has been used really well, can't wait till next week.

Yeah, it's true it would better with stronger characters with their own personality and views and agency. It's a story very focused in the main character, the supporting characters exists as satellites around him: people he wants to protect, enemies, love interest, possible victims, etc, they only exist as a functional role in his story.
Been watching the first season of Psycho Pass and am up to episode ten.
Really enjoying it. Surprised I've never come to it before. Its right up my alley.
Dunno if really anything changed, but this series is losing its steam for me. There was some good fighting this episode actually, still, it's not really engaging me.
Parasyte - 08/09
Overall good episodes once again.
Considering how parents usually fair in anime I'm really surprised Shinichi's father is still alive and well and gets a logical progression. Heck, even the authorities aren't oblivious to all these attacks and do proper investigation it would appear.
Shinichi's character progression is kinda interesting. At first I was a bit surprised at how little he seemed to realize his own change but it makes sense; once Shinichi becomes more like Migi (mostly more logical/by the fact) he'd immediately also no longer value his own self and independence as much and thus wouldn't run his mind about this as often as he did previously. He'll have to actively think (more) about this, if he doesn't want to change much/retain his personality. It's just...how much does he value that now?
The pacing is really fast I have to say but I rather like it. When I compare this to the slowass-pacing of the HxH anime currently @_@
I mean the new guy gets there and causes already so much trouble by being extremely blunt about his abilities, kinda neat.
Dat representation of the female cast so far though...
With Hunter x Hunter, Parasyte, Chihayauru, Hajima no Ippo: Rising and the upcoming Death Parade Anime project, Madhouse is as competent if not more so since their work is focused and their team actually care about whatever series they take on.

Its great. I came to watch it recently as well and it became one of my favourite stories of the year.
I really like the fact its intelligent, subtle and emotive. I didn't like the visuals that much, but the writing was absolutely top notch.
Too bad the sequel is not as good!
Now this is more like it, the story is finally starting to evolve
as humanity is starting to become aware of the Parasites. Glasses girl is not the sharpest tool in the drawer, confronting one of them like that. Also Shinichi is slowly falling apart by the episode.
I look forward to the return of the show in two weeks.
I starting to tell that there were two episodes cut because the whole Gillete mind control amounted to a 1 minute fight where he gets injured then suddenly remembers his past life? Must be some weak mind control if pain breaks it. I kinda like Red Chaika just giving up when she realized that she could never beat them. Looking forward to the next two episodes. Toru better become a Dragoon Rider.

For all the complaint about female character, I rather liked the girlfriend character development. surely got dizzy over girl that mentioning her dick radar and friend that choose to confront confirmed fucking alien tho.
