Well then, that was really excellent episode, though sadly I think it highlights the fact that Akasuki is just not that interesting a characters, at least in comparison to Shiroe.
I will say tha they have exposed what what they were going for with Akasuki paralleling Shiroe's story, as they are both going through the same character arc, just in different fashions. Indeed, we learn the downside and the limits to being a chessmaster, when you come to think of people of pawns and they know this, resentment and mistrust will follow.Though we have learned also what Shiroe has really been up to, and indeed this has been going on in the background for some time now. Also, hopefully this will shut up the contingent of people whining about how finding a way home has been "dropped." Shiroe has been working his Xanatos Gambits overtime in researching this world, understanding every detail, every change, every thing he can examine and it has been building to a hypothesis. There might be a third faction who not only unleashed the Apocalypse but are the heart of of the vastly changing world. Yet in spite of all that has been gained, Shiore has made mistakes, and indeed can't foresee everything, nobody foresaw three raid bosses joining forces and crushing everybody like ants. Also, it turns out the afterlife is a test server that has become the Moon, I am sure this means something, but I am not sure what yet. Anyway, Log horizon is really hitting is stride now, just like I thought it would.
After a few episodes without much Vanadis action, having one focused on Elen both going to meet an old friend of hers, and striking a treaty with another of their number, was just what I was looking for. Good episode, but the tide of battle continues to turn. Just that kind of series.
Less than 2 weeks until Date A Live Encore 3 and the Kurumi OVA. I'm as ready as I'll ever be, i.e. not ready in the slightest and drooling like I've just been lobotomised.
The Encore 3 cover'll show her with both hair 'down' and left eye uncovered, which is a real rarity for Tsunako art:
Saber gets a shitty lot in this show. She never has an opportunity to really be awesome like she was in FSN. Its a shame cause I was always waiting for that moment.
The later part just wasnt enough to make up for it.
So many anime are going to start getting into the Christmas spirit. Denki-Gai, of course, celebrates it in the most perverted, anime culture-esque way possible, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The romantic elements with Hiotan and Sensei were also cute, especially the part where Sensei was messing around with Hiotan's laundry and was mystified by her
older sister's
underwear. G-Men's moment was also fantastic. Santa on a motorbike distributing porn for Christmas. Oh what fun it is to be in Akiba!
This show is adorably adorable. I enjoy it so much.
Episode 2 originally had me a bit doubtful but that was a one off thing. Instead its just cuties blushing and talking about nerd things and just making me feel happy.
Okay Aoi if you start hallucinating your dolls conversing with you while in the middle of driving then you really need to see a doctor. Like, ASAP.
So Ema is still suffering and can't break through her block but her senior animators are there to save the day! With some help from Iguchi, some fresh air, and a wandering cat seems she's back in business. And she also gets the best advice possible: Copy everyone else as much as possible until you're good enough that you don't have to.
The show also did a rather effective job characterizing Aoi's sister in so little time, remarkably without actually explicitly saying anything about her. Contrasting just a snippet of her daily work life with her Tokyo tour with Rii says everything that needed to be said.
Aoi reminds me of that poor guy in Paranoia agent. I know these people are overworked and way underpaid but it looks to put incredible stress on them. Both of them had delusions while driving. as long as Aoi doesnt end up like the guy did!
She also doesnt have Shounen bat after her!
Well shiet. I started laughing at Kyubeys holes because it came so suddenly. But what's the reason Homura can't straight up say what Kyubey is up to, why is she being so subtle to the other girls. Maybe she could've prevented all this by just straight up saying why they shouldn't.
I do wonder what Kyubey is getting out of this endless circle. Does he feed off the souls he places in the containers or is there a higher cause to all of this. Or is he simply keeping the balance between good and evil. And what are familiars then?
He says Madoka has the chance of becoming an all powerful god, does he think in witch or magic girl terms. Somewhere between? Or is this another way to try to push her over the edge? It's starting to smell burnt so I'm going to stop thinking for now.
Yeah. there are more interesting things to come. That episode was certainly an eye opener too. It raised all kinds of crazy speculations. You really should have seen when the show was airing. It was literally a phenomenon.
I haven't watched a single episode of japanimation in basically a month.
Yeah
SO HERE WE GO
Attack on Titan 19
that's some cut rate horse CG
so fucking wordy
bitch bitch bitch moan moan moan
i'm so tired of these fucking monologues

no I don't want a shitty Evanescence-knock off soundtrack
okay that's fun ending I guess.
Mushi-shi Zoku Shou 11
Ahhh Mushi-shi I missed you.

aww yeah that OP is fucking awesome punk as fuck
i wanna puch this Peco kid in the fucking face harder than a face has ever been punched
but yo this is entertaining as fuck
This Chinese seems pretty good, at least to my ears. Anyone know if actually it is? If so, how can they get good, fluent Chinese-Japanese bilingual VAs, but Engrish is still such a problem?
this show seem really fucking strong, goddamn. I missed a gem.
Parasyte 1
sounds like Attack Attack! recorded the OP, fucking lol.
jesus kid
actually i'm really enjoying this too but I can already see this taking some crazy twists down the line
the hand is adorable as fuck and creepy as fuck at the same time!
That was one patient cat. LOL at how even P.A. Works struggles with animating cats.
Not sure whos still the best girl in this show, Zuka or Ema. I also dont remember Rii chan as part of the anime club for some reason. Just too many girls to keep up with.
So I kinda experienced a double standard I had watchingB Gata H Kei today.
So when it comes to anime a guy being perverted, only thinking about sex with as many women as possible 24/7 seems okay.
Even some super sexual flirty women in anime seem alright.
But for some reason the MC (a highschool girl) with her only mission of sleeping with 100 guys during highschool as well having sex on her brain 24/7 really felt weird.
Ichigo Mashimaro
So I just finished watching Ichigo Mashimaro. I found Mashimaro to be absolutely adorable and extremely funny, having almost fallen out of my chair in laughter almost every episode. I'm a huge fan of random humor, and Miu brought that in droves every episode. I loved how the characters played off of each others roles within the group because it made the comedy just work since everyone played their part to get to the punchline.
Anyhow, since I enjoyed the show, I'm now looking for other shows like it..I've read that I should look into YuruYuri, Working!! or Minami-ke, but how are these shows? Are they good for comedy, or are they just standard slice of life with some elements of comedy thrown in here or there? Because right now I really just want to see a bunch of shows where it puts comedy first to everything else... mix it up a bit from what I usually watch.
They are finally getting on the right track to catch Kamui, though they are still trailing behind him
them
.
I liked seeing the little chat between Akane and her grandmother. I like to think that
Akane valuing lives is a reason for Akane being able to keep a clean psycho-pass.
Shingeki no Bahamut 1-7
Since there's now a free and legal simulcast (the simul part of the cast is such a blatant lie!) in Italy for this as well, I started watching it.
I wasn't expecting anything from it so I was pleasantly surprised by these 7 episodes. I'm digging the character art and the characters themselves. Favaro is a big asshole but has some great moments that make him likable.
Rita's episode had me thinking what a shame it was
that she became a zombie and was killed by the knight and how it would have been cool if she instead had joined the gang... only to see her and the knight walk together in the episode's epilogue.
Thumbs up for that episode.
Fate/stay night: Unlimited blade Works 7
Archer manages to act cool and be a jerk at the same time. Shiro manages to
get slashed
because he's pretty naive. Though he's also showing a certain degree of backbone and he's cooler than the Shiro in the old anime adaption.
Man.. thing became really exciting since last 4 eps, mystery that getting bigger and bigger, the world that keep changed, character development, and fucking awesome tactical battle.
Save points. Loops. Divergent histories. Visual novels are masters of using the medium to tell the story. Even though I've encountered variations of this story in multiple games - and what's going on here reminds me of Gemini Paradox and End of the World and Happy Birthday to an extent - it's also a different kind of story. Certainly an interesting episode, with some sci-fi concepts being brought in that were hinted at throughout now come to the forefront. The amount of time for an anime is certainly less than playing through a game, but can it have as big of an impact? Whatever the story holds from here on out, I can honestly say I'm looking forward to it.
Not really a fan of this episode due to Tusk's introduction, but here's hoping he'll be gone for awhile so we can focus back on the relationships between the girls.
It was coming, but I don't like that this timeline's Rider didn't get a chance to do much. She had a total asshole for a Master, but she herself wasn't a bad person. I suppose that's what the HF movies are going to be for.
The Saber summoning scene was nice, and I liked all the foreshadowing going on in the opening training scene.
Also (I guess " in game plot", if sao has one, spoilers so I'll tag) on the lastest sao
What idiot waits for other guilds to try the boss to gather info? SAO doesnt have a death thing anymore, just try the boss yourselves. This is so stupid.
Also Im laughing that kirito somehow managed to steal asunas sidestory at the last minute again
Gundam Reconguista G episode 4
I really am starting to get into this show. I do really like how every loss seems to take a toll on characters and it makes the war more meaningful than say a show like Gundam 00(which was ok but it was more supers than reals). I still find the style of the show to be a little wonky but I look beyond that considering its one of the few shows that does 2d mechs(and right if I may add).
Parasyte 9
Show is so good. It is like a non stop train of awesome.
Shy Homura.. what is this?
Mami is alive! ..only to die again, wait is this a different timeline or what?
WHAT IS GOING ON STOP KILLING EACHOTHER
Homura is basically Okabe who can just travel back in time? Mistake by Kyubey?
So in the first episode alot of shit already went down multiple times, well.. as Homura time and not timeline.
OP is now ED? This is madness

So here's a question thats bugged the shit out of me for ages.
Its to do with anime for sale on digital platforms (be it iTunes, Google Play, PSN, etc). Whats with the lack of subbed anime? Hell why don't they have multiple audio tracks on anime to support both groups? Do none of these services video formats support multiple audiotracks? Or is it just a way to encourage disc sales?
Its a complete deal breaker for me. And I'd like to buy anime from services like these. At least in theory.

It is weird. Even doing a search of itunes for foreign films it seems like there's no films with multiple audiotracks. Its completely an either or situation.
EDIT: Well the itunes situation seems weirder given this help document http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202641 and the fact that Apple describes content in terms of 'primary language' but only lists the primary language. So iTunes content could have multiple languages, they just never list it.
Homura made Madoka this powerful with all the timelines, and thus may have created the greatest witch ever?
Interesting that this has been going on since the dawn of our existance, and the wishes has folded our future since.
Pretty rad fight against the Bratwurst Witch, but Madoka comes in and it's time for her to make a wish!
Oh man I remember that ova! I still have it actually, along with the bunny girl figurine!
The first documentary style anime maybe? It was special for the time!
Okay, so I'm watching the dub, and I come across what is perhaps the biggest missed opportunity for a Wilhelm Scream. The boat shakes and a random guy falls off a railing right before the scene transitions quickly. How can you even not think about putting one in?
That aside, it's really interesting to see just how much Chidori doesn't act like a damsel in distress in this show. In fact, she ends up being more worried of what Sousuke has to go through when he has to save her or if he'll even make it out alive.
I cannot name any other light novel female protagonists off the top of my head that are like this, so good job FMP!
Also,
so help me if Andrei is dead. I doubt it, but still.
Chidori is really awesome because of that. She might be the damsel in distress but she isnt helpless either. She can largely fend for herself. Love her.
Not as much as Tessa though
Hm... Well... It's definitively strange. But I'm not sure it's the kind of strange I like. Guess it's just one of these shows I don't get, just like Flowers of Evil.
The look of the show is interesting and the OP and ED is nice though. The ED reminds me of the Azumanga Daioh ED and looking it up, it's not weird that I do.
So this is where the real suffering begins. Witches and bitches get stitches
I'm sorry, you're no bitch Foodie, it just rhymed
. Homura telling it like it is to poor Madoka while she's devastated.
I'm pretty conflicted, on one hand I want more suffering, and on the other I want to see Madoka riding on a unicorn in a valley of rainbows with all the magic girls.
Kyubey's reason is that we're fuel for the fire that heats the oven of the universe? A necessary evil? I can see why he does it, and they don't have emotions so that makes it even easier. Unless he's fucking lying. I'm going to go on a hunch here and say that Madoka Rebellion is magic girls VS Kyubeys alien race?
New ED, maybe it's just for this episode only? I like the previous ED alooot.
Same really, which is why I ranked it higher personally. Its also why I ranked silly things like Garzey and Yami to Boshi a perfect ten. They entertained me as few shows could.
Hmmm, got recommended this show from a friend who hasn't seen much in the way of anime so I wasn't expecting much going into it. Couple that with setting itself in one's typical highschool environment and there wasn't much this show had going for it to really hook me in. The reality is that this just isn't something I'd typically gravitate to unless it was doing something really ambitious in one aspect or another. The twist this show is employing is kinda neat though and the first episode was enjoyable enough to make me want to continue it, for now at least.
The random hand drawn style of background art they're employing in a lot of scenes fluctuates between looking nice in some scenes and very drab in others. Feels like it was more a decision to add any sort of visual flair to whats otherwise a pretty unambitious show in the art and style department. We'll see how it progresses.
Kokoro Connect - 02
In this episode we met god. God is a plant that knows martial arts. I honestly wasn't expecting them to give us something resembling an info dump so early in the game. Frankly when your explanations are more or less "magic" then the how and why don't matter as much the effect it causes amongst those around you ... and the show agrees! So our main 5 are all going to be switching bodies at random during the course of the series and they're being watched by aliens or gods or kung-fu plants. Frankly these are things that we all established from the first episode minus the existence of Kung-Fu plants. Though the possibility that this show may genre shift to the life and times of Kung-Fu plants I think it'd probably be best not to get my hopes up for that.
The sprinkles of comedy are probably what I'm enjoying from this series the most so far. Gotta wait to see how the inevitable drama develops though the hints they're dropping at this point aren't what I'd call subtle. Figure yellow hair girl probably has a reason why she's troubled by perky for staying at home alone. Although ... you'd think that would be a not so uncommon thing among highschoolers? I don't know what's actually customary in Japan or how anime's distorted my general perception but so long as you have permission highschoolers outright living alone isn't too uncommon is it? Oh well, wouldn't surprise me if it looped back into yellow's reasoning for learning martial arts too.
Somehow manages to be even better than the first episode. Lots of talking, but the MCs and even the villain have lots of chemistry. More shows should take note of how to build non-black/white conflicts. Some great messaging about the power of nature and the frailty of humans towards the end too.
So our questions have been answered , some facts , some guesses YET the main problem remains : this isn't yui first try and i'm sure she tried very hard and kaori fate remains unknow..
This show better have a good ending OR ELSE i'll curse everyone involved in this show.
Finally someone who makes the appropriate wish for once!
Uhm, so if I get this right, basically.. this? Well aslong Mami is alright I'm okay with the outcome.
This had some pretty good characters, and I didn't expect to care for some of them. Kyubey was very interesting as the emotionless input. The real strength of the show for me was the unique witch hunts and it's bizarre art.
But it's also the weakness of the show, for me it's like they injected me with heroin, and I was just longing for my next hit. If they could have included more hunts this would've been rather incredible.
It started off very strong, had a dip in the middle and rose in the end.
8/10 Grief Seeds ◕ ‿‿ ◕
There wasn't a single scene where Rin doesn't make some weird face for Shirou. Genius Tohsaka is outsmarted by him too. Just how good is Shirou we can never hope to comprehend. Lolz at Saber, that was good.
the soundtrack is really disappointing, I don't even notice it's there, it's just background noise most of the time.

Well you need to take a 1 or 2 day break , and then watch rebellion. Just so you know rebellion is very divisive in term or impressions but regardless of you like it or not this is a necessary viewing.
Ps : the dip in the middle was sorta necessary given that those "witches moments" clearly weren't that easy to make. That's my opinion anyway
