Daily lives of highschool boys ova 4

We all been through that suspectig phase motoharu. Poor Mitsuo, forever being shitted on because of his dimwittiness.

I miss this show :( Sunrise please make a second season although the manga is cancelled.

Say "I Love You" 01
For as uninteresting and cliched as this wish fulfillment thing is I actually kind of didn't mind watching it pretty much solely because of the music. It's just very easy piano and light strings stuff that sets a very relaxed atmosphere for the show.
Haha, it's so funny to read this because I absolutely can't stand the dramatic piano music in Say "I Love You." It always takes me out of the show when it starts up.

the one anime I dropped this season was Girls und Panzer. Checked it out mainly because Yukari's character design caught my eye, quite enjoyed the girls' interactions in the first episode, but dropped after the second episode because the whole tank element just wasn't appealing to me in the slightest.
Aww. But yeah, Girls und Panzer pretty much requires you to enjoy both girls und panzer to like it. Although some people in this thread seem to be soldiering on for panzer alone.

From the New World 6:
Saki done fucked up. This episode was a lot more interesting story wise than the previous episode, although it is still below earlier standards. It's a real shame that the final scene didn't look more impressive, because that could have easily been an awe inspiring scene if they had handled it properly. Still, the show is remaining very enjoyable, and the story is highly engaging, so I won't complain too much about the last two episodes.

I didn't like the designs very much, so early on it was definitely for da panzers, but I'm really fond of the characters now.

Do you guys consider yourselves casual fans of anime/manga or otakus (as in, the steriotype)?
I consider myself pretty casual. I may watch a bit more than what is defined as casual and want some of the merchandise (such is figurines), but at this point I only watch. Maybe somewhere in the middle I guess?

did he just said that Saki is a mess ? did he bother watching this stuff before writting about it ? saki is no less messy than any sport anime out there ...

And since when kaichou wa maid sama is softcore porn ? the whole serie is based on the fact that the girl stand for herself !!! it isn't even remotly moe ..

what the heck is this ?

No I mean seriously I've watched like eighty episodes of Slam Dunk in the last year and I don't remember a single instance of nudity or ecchi or whatever.

I don't think I can get into the childish animes anymore. It needs to be something unique. The last one that I loved immensely was Death Note. Haven't seen anything seriously good since then.

Any recommendations for serious original animes?

Currently watching "From the New World" and it's not bad. Had a few hiccups in the middle but looks like its getting back on track.
I watched Tsuritama and Code Breaker (1 episode each) and they are quite childish.

I am thinking of starting Steins;Gate again as I dropped it after 7-8 episodes. Seeing the lack of original stuff, I might have to pick it up again =/

Still wondering who said that soul eater was regarded as a masterpiece ?
i mean who said that ? when ?is it a popular opinion i'm not aware of ?

Yeah, I wasn't going to comment on that, but all of those choices are pretty bizarre.

Soul Eater, I can at least sort of get, but Gantz?

Does anyone above the age of 12 think that Gantz is even close to something resembling a coherent and well thought out narrative, never mind a masterpiece?

Of the works that were named, Slam Dunk is the only one that really seems to be widely considered a 'masterpiece'.

Lol. Death Note is childish as hell.

Tsuritama isn't.

I wouldn't really consider Tsuritama to be childish, unless 'childish' means bright and colorful, and has some younger characters.

Certainly it isn't nearly as childish as something like Death Note.

I'd recommend you stick with tsuritama as it really isn't childish at all and gets better with each and every single episode. As for more recent stuff, you could check out Kenji Nakamura's other series: Mononoke (incl. the Ayakashi Bakeneko Prequel Arc) and Trapeze.

oh and School Days sounds right up your alley.

School Days is quite the refined love story

Thank everyone later.

edit: seconding Mononoke though a really interesting and suspensful series.

Tsuritama isnt that childish.
Anyway, Fate Zero would perfectly suit your tastes. Possibly Psycho Pass.
