Ugh, that dialogue system looks awful. It's gonna be Bioware all over again where you are constantly surprised by what your character is saying. Everything else looks great though, hope it won't sink the experience completely.
This doesn't make sense. The conversation can have just as many questions and lines from your character as before. Doesn't matter that you are presented with 4 to start with. If you ask one and it replaces it with another, it's no big deal.
They can fix the whole voiced player character issue by giving you a "mute MC option and just gave his lines shown in subtitles.

I can understand people having misgivings for a voiced protagonist because they simply want to roleplay in a certain way but there will be no limitation outside the usual thing with fully voiced games where you cannot divulge a novel in a single conversation.

The game is already going to have subtitles, so adding a mute option for just MC wouldn't be hard. The easiest way out for them is to just ignore that and not provide the option, so you know what they'll pick.
There is no evidence that different ethnicities speak in a certain voice so what is a white voice for you? What is an asian voice?
They can have more options. 3 buttons show options, fourth button is a "more" button that shows you the other options. It's basically the same as when you have to scroll.Well, that and the apparent hard limit of 3-4 dialogue choices per conversation and the short text choices that don't match to what the character is actually saying. Those are both pretty big deals in a series that at one time was known for its focus on dialogue checks.
damn the pipboy edition on PC is a physical copy i was hoping for a digital download
Doesn't mean much you can in Skyrim too.
It's the same when he shows how to give commands to the dog, that system already was in Skyrim and it was shit.
I'm black, but I'm sure you'd say I have a white guy voice. No matter the MC's race, he/she is from the same neighborhood/upbringing, so it makes sense for the MC's voice not to change due to race.White guy voice is a white guy voice.
Sorry for my ignorance. So this game is confirmed to have the same dialogue choices as before? I just hope it's fully fleshed out dialogue where the dialogue really matches the choices.
I need to re watch the video it seems. I do have issues with it from a role playing perspective, but awesome if it is exactly like the past two games and 1:1 the amount of choices. Thanks for pointing that out. I apologize for my previous posts.

Or minimalistI really dislike the HUD. Something about it just bugs me, maybe how lazy it looks.
That said, im hyped as fuck. Cant wait to start modding!
Don't you think those first 4 dialogues choices open up other dialogue choices.
I guess there is no pleasing everyone. But reading this thread, you guys act like you've been playing it for days already. Its quite sad how quick people are to judge and then wanna bash everything when they see something for a couple of seconds.

It's far easier to be forgiving of enthusiasm than it is cynicism, personally.Oh, get off it. We're talking about what we saw in the video. Go wave the "quick to judge" flag at all the "OMG HYPE TRAIN XD" posts if you feel so strongly about people talking about what they've seen so far. If it's wrong to be concerned about what is being shown, then it's wrong to be excited.
Or, just realize that we're talking about a game on a game discussion board and dial it back a notch.

White guy voice is a white guy voice.
It looks so good. I really like the change in how dialogue is handled and that you can pop in and out.
Now i just need the PC requirements.
I can promise you it's going to be well more demanding than that. It may not be The Order, but it's still an entirely next-gen looking game.If your PC can run Skyrim with the texture pack you shouldn't have a problem.

Unless you're going for a caricature of different ethnicities, what exactly would each non-white voice sound like?
Sorry, buddy, the reviewers have already been payed. I heard even random gamers are getting payed to rate too.I just hope that reviewers are going to be this time objective and score the game for what it is, and not because of the fact that the game is made by Bethesda
