But black people voice white people all the time, it's not like black character roles were exclusively given to white people. This if anything gets closer to racism than it does to resolving any underlying issues.
Guesss we should have restrooms strictly for white people or black people, would hate to cross the streams. Maybe even have white and blacks take separate transportation, wouldn't want white people being driven around by a black man and vice versa.

In all honesty, I'm seeing that all of this madness is leading to a massive regression back to pre civil rights era segregation. I can't help but think maybe the old ways will be the new status quo at this point. And I don't see a way we can stop the insanity at the rate it's spreading.
This is my biggest fear. I honestly believe this is one of those situations where people are viewing these individual events as small isolated victories but not realizing collectively this is going to potentially have a huge impact on our future. All so people can fake comfort people having fake outrage to try and instill fake progress.
It's a big circus of bullshit and all these people are clowns helping the show move along.

My contribution is that this is one of the most memorable character voices I've ever heard on TV. I still get the spinoff show theme song and others stuck in my head sometimes, and this voice is absolutely what made some of the Cleveland jokes land so well.
It's a shame to see it go... for this.

If I were to guess, I would say the majority of Family Guy's target audience are white. I'm not sure how this will attract more blacks to the show. If anything, it will turn off the already loyal viewers.
Traditional TV shows are dying, and the people running the show are trying to delay the inevitable. Netflix, Amazon, Hulu shows can get away with these casting decisions because they were built from the ground up for a diverse audience. Long standing shows like Family Guy or The Simpsons cannot adapt to this new entertainment environment by casing off their baggage per se. The best thing for these shows to do is stay true and ride it out until the series finale.

He openly supports this stuff. How is that 'nothing to do with this bullshit'? He could easily stand up for other VA's. Instead he's saying that it's fine for one skin color to lose work, but his should be protected.
Is it ok for people to be pressured into losing jobs based on their skin color if you don't care for the show?

Probably easy not since Cleveland doesn’t seem to make as many appearances in episodes as he used to as well
It would be amazing if Cleveland just became mute from here on out.
This new initiative is really gonna mess with animation though, especially stuff brought in from overseas. How many POCs are in anime? How many POCs NEED to be in western shows animated in Korea? If they have to hire more people instead of, I dunno, using an already on-staff VA to VOICE ACT, then they are gonna stop sticking in POC side characters that only get 1-2 lines. I don't think many folks realize how many characters the some couple of people do voices for and why. Who is gonna try to audition a black trans VA when they could just make it a white cishet character instead and have the lead VA do a funny voice?

I still think this whole things a bit silly but I feel people are missing the mark with the whole Kratos thing.
Cleveland was a caricature of a Black dude, played by a white guy. Yes it's comedy, but I can understand how people would be offended by that.
Kratos was voiced by a Black guy simply because his voice was deep and husky, and he delivered great lines, not because it's some comedic exaggeration of the Spartans as a stereotype/race.
