Are these games expensive? It's less than an hours work for most people? Aren't the people who made this worth any money? Rogue Galaxy is a pretty big game, from my understanding, what makes it less worthy of money? I'd argue that pricing it at $60 would be stupid because there's no market for it but why should they feel obliged to give them away for free or for less then they're worth? By releasing them at this price point they maintain a good value and makes it possible to offer good discounts in the long run helping the exposure of these games. By making money and attracting a bigger audience without devaluing the work, it helps games like this getting released.
I picked your post mainly because it was the latest in a long, tired rant of gamers wanting something for cheap. This mentality needs to stop. If they had released them for $5 they'd make far less money and would devalue the work to the degree that other publishers wouldn't want to invest in the market.
Long story short: they're worth the asking price. They're worth more. And we as gamers benefit from this price-point in the long run.
It didn't cost them. These games didn't have a developer creating them.
There isn't a reason for them to be fifty percent higher.
You have an emulator doing all it takes is throwing the game at it to get it working. Adding trophies should brake how many people? A competent person can do it.
Hell, look how big the teams are for these games on Kickstartwr. Some of them are one guy making the whole game.
These games have no art work, modeling etc to be done
There are many reasons to be unamused .
If Sony was going in game code , changing fonts, changing game code and mixing cameras to add true wide-screen support or redoing all textures to make them true hd then ok, the price is nice. None of this is happening i feel people didn't get it before but atleast people who played them started to get it.
