Fantastic Burnout Revenge PS2 videos

its not better than burnout 3 - its just burnout 3.5

- loading times the same
- controls the same (and they arent the best)
- rubber band ai the same

- ai is more agressive and attacks you
- its good to have many shortcuts, but also you can crash many more times into obstacles. sometime i didnt see where i have to drive -> so you must learn the corusdesigns, which sucks.

my opinions were judged by the complete game on ps2 (played it for about a hour at the games convention) -> everything was unlocked.

Burnout 3 was a great game. This game looks to be improving on the previous game. It looks very fun. Learning the course makes a game like this more fun and makes the game last longer. If you just raced around in a circle it would get old fast. Having short cuts and different routes adds more variety to the game. You are just hating.

just hating?

come on man...

i like burnout 3 and i will buy burnout: revenge - but like the missing 4 in the title suggests, "revenge" is no real sequel and judgeing from my playtime, i am a bit disapointed. the game did not step up in many problem areas, like the loading times, rubberband ai and controls.

Is the whole game as brown as the demo level is? It made depth perception pretty hard when everything blurred together into one muddy mess.

And you are basing your complaints on what? The demo? You might want to wait till the game comes out before you start complaining.

BTW I found the controls fine, loading times could use improvement but this is EA man what do you expect? I'm not sure if I like rubberband AI or not but it sure keeps races close and interesting.

Your top two points are the reason that I am getting the Xbox version. Faster load times with a superiour control setup. Controller S is flat out a better racing controller.

As for your last point about crashing more from the enviroment, for anybody that has played Burnout 3 extensivly online this is a VERY good thing. It was next to impossible to get takedowns online against other players as, just like your car in single player, it takes them almost running into a wall head on to smash them. Takedowns online were almost entirely accidental so for that reason I am loving the fact that their are more walls to shove people into.

you can't be serious......

What exactly is he wrong about? The game DOES look more fun, and it looks like they have some Burnout 2 inspired music thrown in. That would make his statements 100% accurate....

I wish you could raise the camera up just a bit though. I hate coming over the crest of a hill and not being able to see anything in front of you. Other than that I really enjoyed Burnout3.

Should have bought the xbox version. Controls rock hard there.

Yes more than two camera options would be nice.

full game - erverything was unlocked at the games convention!!! i played through the last races, drove all courses with the best cars.

its not about the controls in general, its just about the drifting - its no ridge racer afterall and i think the drifting was way better in burnout 2.

This is simply because BO3 is so much faster then #2. Your fastest car in 2 goes around 150-60'ish. Fastest in BO3 can get up to 210-212.

Some of the eariler cars in BO3 you have to use that are around that 140-150 range have similar drift to BO2.

right - but with a car like the formula racer in burnout 3 ists very difficult to drift around the corners. and now its even more difficult thanks to the many sideways and the obstacles. dont get me wrong, if you hit the back of a other car, you dont crash anymore, but the overall racing seems far more dependent on your luck. you can easily win a race or lose, due to one mistake. and the chances for mistakes are much higher than in burnout 3.
