Oh the glorius days of grinding to Field Marshal, some of the premade vs. premade games took like 1 to 2 hours to complete. Honor wise it would have been smarter to just /afk, and queue for a new game, but we wanted to win every match, and that's the reason why I had to grind couple weeks more, but I loved it!

I always try to post here or in the online meet-up thread, 1 hour before the actual game starts. So everyone can get ready for the game.

Ok. I played a few games online last night, no communication. Just a good old fashioned cluster fuck. Needless to say, I haven't been enjoying myself. I must be doing something wrong, as it seems most people in this thread are enjoying themselves. Sadly I am not, feels like money wasted. I had high hopes. I'll keep trying and maybe something will click for me.
This game really shows how people don't understand basic gameplay rules. Most random games i've been part of see those clueless guys going into the middle of the map, die, rinse and repeat.

Go to the online forum and add the GAFfers playing the game. Usually someone is hosting a game so you can easily join AND the communication is key to making this game great. It doesn't even take a ton of communication, just a few prompts and build orders make all the difference in the world.
I'd love to get enough GAF people to have a GAF v. GAF match. Also, more snatch n' grab and invasion please, those modes are rad and less of a stalemate (though the stalemates are a lot of fun too).
That game where Kilgore me and some other gaffers had a long ass stalemate until we decided to bumrush their ice mages with workers was hilarious.

If you're not having fun with this game, or you think the multiplayer action sucks, here's the problem: you're on the internet. The internet is filled with vast swaths of people who don't know or don't care what they're doing. And unless that is ever rectified, it's going to make just about any random online game play like ass. The only solution really is to play with people you know or trust. :\

At the moment I'm not really happy with the game.
- I need serveral tries to join a game. If I did not know it can work, I would have stopped after the third try (plus you have to wait quit some time for each try).
- I can't connect to my friends and they can connect to me, I stopped after the fifth try (with time in between) and played the short storymode (the last mission sucks btw. , can take forever until you are lucky)
- it seems only the rescue mode is played. I tried the soccer map/mode offline with bots and that thing is hilarious, but I can't find a game with it (my connection is low so I can't open a 32 player game myself)
- playing with random strangers is not really satisfying because no one knows anything about the game besides some highter ranks. I guess that will be better with time, but in contrast to BF43 you can't do shit alone, at least you need 1 or 2 teammate to escort you while carrying the princess (otherwise you are just too slow to get out there).
The only ones willing to help me where the bots... (btw I would like them to be clearly marked as bots, in the listing some Bots even had the player icon).
- something is wrong with the statistics/rankings, it says there are no scores for me or my friends.
Seriously, the big main thing is that you can't enjoy the game if your own or both teams are just plain stupid (maybe there are too much bots? or maybe the bad team need more of them...). When no one besides me is feeding cake, collect resources and even upgrade/build stuff, it is really frustrating.
Or that 90% only use the main routes, even if I already build bridges etc. to infiltrate the castle. Also nice: On the one map I bombed the wall of the enemy castle (can't be repaired), a direct way to the princess. But most of my team spend the rest of the game trying to destroy the doors of the castle - not noticing the big ass huge hole in the wall right next to it... D:
When I tried for the 20th time to get the princess and no one was helping, I just spend the rest of the game launching 5 big bombs with the catapult (which I build and no one else used the WHOLE TIME, wtf at least do it because it is fun) to the enemies.
Thought that is actually pretty funny :lol , if you manage to activate the bombs before you launch away with them. It is like a bombardment (and I saw it even hitting some of the structures like the wall, with no chance for the enemy to stop that like when you would be carrying the bomb), oh and yea, I REALLY did not care about the collateral damage at that point

The general internet populace is just too fucking retarded to play with on a regular basis. I can't count the number of games that i've hosted that have been ruined by some asshat who derives his fun from ruining others fun (big bombing/chicken potioning team-mates etc).
This might be my own fault, but one thing that annoys me when it comes to the AI bots is how unreliable the "Ask for help" button is. Shouldn't you be able to recruit 3 bots to help you? Whenever I press the Up button, I only get one bot tops that helps me out, but then the stupid fuck either runs away from me (the exclamation mark turns orange), or he simply dies.

several times i tried to load up one of the catapults with bombs n shit and i forgot that you cannot just put a chicken potion onto the catapult, it'll just hit the teammates

Yeah, no lag for me neither. If you are encountering lag or such, try to make sure you have NAT2 connection, or NAT1.
Hopefully we can get games going soon!

Haven't played MP yet, but can't even get a single player level to end. Doesn't seem like the UI's ever doing anything except fighting in the midfield. I get no healing/fighting support when i make a run at the princess. (and broke down the castle wall myself)
