Got any tips then? I just ended up quitting out of the first level as it became a stalemate of me not getting any UI support to move the chick.

Can you hear someone else w/o a mic (through your speakers like in many games)?
I never heard anyone, so this has a limited use as not many (like myself) play with a hs regularly (with random people).

Those who wonder, how do they join the actual game;

- Just choose the game I'm playing and it should be fine.

How do I change the teams?

- When game starts you have 60 seconds to change your team. This will happen by pressing start and pushing triangle to switch the team.

The team GAF will be playing on is Red

Yeah you can. But this game doesn't use an open mic system, so there is not that constant bullshit of breathing and static.
 
Just posting my appreciation of Halba's pro-active attack on this game and getting a community up around it and playing.

So I wanna get this but not have it be bf1943 with all the problems. I am too lazy to go through the pages but what am I looking at if I get it now (problem wise)

Well first of all build the catapult, i.e. start as a worker and get the resources.
When it's done switch to the warrior (he has the most HP) and take a big bomb with you to break the well (only present on the first map).
Press up on the D-pad and take some buddies with you and storm the castle with the catapult.
Deal with the well and rescue the princess through said well and then you will eventually encounter friendly AI who will escort you (heart symbol on the ground).
That's how I did the first chapter.

Now I beat the level in like 5 minutes. I didn't build anything, i just ran in and grabbed her skinny ass before they'd built anything (even front doors). :D

This. Without Halba my life would be so chaotic trying to manage all the GAFers by myself.

Again, we need some more people who would be willing to accept friend requests, host, and manage GAF games.
 
I haven't played with any of you guys, or in any kind of 'organized' games yet, and I'm finding the game extremely enjoyable.

You don't need organized games/lots of friends to enjoy, though I'm sure it helps, as it always does in similar games. Once you get the hang of the mechanics of each class, the game becomes a blast. At first I was a little put off by hit detection and not understanding who was hitting me, but after a couple hours even the more chaotic fights are pretty readable, especially if you distance yourself and just work your way through the edges of the fights, rather than running right into the middle.

So far I've only come across two things that have bothered, but certainly not game-breaking. The first of course is connection issues. Its mostly just been 'Unable to connect to this host' and after 2 or 3 tries I get into a game. Last night however, I could not connect to anything. =\

The other thing I hate, is bombs. The big ones are just irritating as their radius seems massive. The little ones are also annoying as people just spam them everywhere, and can kite you like no one's business.

Otherwise the game is great, and I'll definitely get in on some gaf games. For those feeling uncertain about the game... give it a couple hours, and once things start clicking, and you learn how to properly play each class, it becomes all kinds of awesome.

I typically host every GAF game after about 5:00 Mountain Time.

I'll host one in about 2 hours, just gotta get off work.
 
Having a bit of a turn around on the game after getting into a game with Gigglepoo and playing how it was meant to be played while chatting over voice.



Hopefully I can get into more voice GAF games and enjoy it. Get me added guys

is there anyway to heal yourself when youre at your base? like if you got away from battle at 1HP? is there anyway to heal up without asking someone to do it for you?

Stand still, you'll sit, nom nom some cake, and regain your health

Besides having a healer, or staying still to rest up, you can stand on top of your towers once you take control and they heal you. Sometimes I try to make sure I hit one up before going to a big battle.

I love this game. I haven't played online because I couldn't connect when I tried so I am going through the Legend of the Fat Princess. I'm trying all the different classes and the one I have most fun with is the worker. I was thinking the priest or mage would be it for me but the worker is so much fun.
 
Played a few online games with a lot of human players. Man what fun! The last game I had to leave though as it was taking too long. Nobody was winning and other than me on my team it seems no one was going for the princess. Everytime I got her I was dead in like 1 minute.:lol Need to find some teamates with good teamwork kills. I did use the call for help command several times, no one followed me:(
 
Just played some GAF games and I gotta say it's a lot more fun this way. It was still far from lag free, but the connection was a lot better than any game I have been in yet. It's also a lot more fun whe teammates work together with a plan unlike the AI does. No stalemate makes a lot of difference. :P

yeah those were some fun games, and besides the soccer game (soo close!) we won every time :lol
Though mostly against bots, did no randoms join (if so, why?)? I guess the AI was on hard or something? They were not really bad and pushed us pretty hard I must say :o

edit: oh and I haven't used the XMB-chatfeature in this kind of extend, yet.
Kinda nice for the organizations, 32 instead of 16 people would be perfect for most games but whatever.

God DAMNIT I still haven't connected to one fucking game online. Infuriating.

Good thing Fat Princess is right above WipEout HD Fury which I jump into and lighten my mood every time I go through 5-6 connection failures on Fat Princess.
 
Soo.... my friend and I, after a couple days of being able to join servers...just cannot join them now. At all. It either says "There are no games available" or "Could not connect", and thats that.

Anyone else having this problem? We've tried over and over, and nothing is working.

Matchmaking - it's a pain, it doesn't always work correctly and for some it doesn't seem to work at all. This isn't much of an issue if you have people on your friends list playing the game, or people from GAF you can add, because once people on your friends list are playing it's real easy to just jump into their games. Anyways, it's somthing Titan are working on fixing, so it shouldn't even be an issue down the line.

I would suggest waiting a week or two for the main issues to be sorted out an in the meantime buy Flower as it's an incredible experience which you almost certainly wont be disappointed with.

People who wait on purchasing Multiplayer games, usually end up getting owned left, and right by people who buy the game when it comes out.

For example Warhawk, if I were to try to get into it now, i'd get torn apart byt the regulars.

I agree, vehicles would be a nice addition, but with vehicles the maps should be a lot bigger, and I mean a lot.
