Seriously. Like the RNC favored Trump of all people. Had somebody hacked their emails the results would have been the same, with them trying to get Rubio or Cruz elected. It's just that Trump ended up being too big for them to even try anything with.
The DNC did nothing to stop Bernie from winning. Bernie agrees or he'd be a bitter man and not going out there and giving speeches for her a couple times a week.

I am a gun owner. There are a lot of sensible gun owners on the Left and some on the Right.
Now that being said, people are insane over their guns. It's almost religious. It's also a very easy way to try and win an argument without having to actually debate policy because you can just scream gun rights because the left tries to have more gun laws and the right is absolutely against it.
So yeah a combination of gun worship and an easy excuse to vote Republican despite the despicable stances they have towards minorities.

I'd say the fear is more in down ballot. This could energize more republicans to get out and vote against Clinton, if not for Trump. Furthermore, it could keep some moderates from voting at all, who may have gone for the democratic congressional and senate candidates. The senate is leaning Dem, but could go either way, so this is a big deal. No doubt Clinton is going to win though.
The difference is the degree of offense. This stunt is just about the worst thing that the director of the FBI can do that's not outright illegal, so it's rightfully castigated.
That is why when Trump loses itll be sweeter. Low info voters need to learn to activate their intellectual curiosity, do basic research, and learn how to filter out erroneous info from relevant info. A critical skill many ex-Bernie and now Trump supporters usually lack.
Whatever opinions I hold about past behavior, I do expect better from people than this. Voting and advocating for the only responsible candidate doesn't absolve someone from being malicious.

One thing to also consider though is Trump's ground game is shit. Just as his campaign has consistently failed to capitalize on all the gifts he has been given this cycle, I have a fair suspicion that his near complete lack of ground game will really fucking hurt him. He hasn't invested shit, probably still has no idea what a ground game is and how his campaign NEEDS to get folks out to vote, and I have serious doubts they will be able to do that nearly as effectively.
Just look at the early voting and how its already heavily leaning to Clinton in many states.
I also think in some ways this could drive more Dems to go out and vote, I voted as soon as possible, but this kind of shit would have made me vote damn near instantly.

These policies aren't inherently consistent. How can you want to send power back to the states and also support things like single payer and abortion rights? I live in Texas and our government wouldn't support either of those things. Thats why I want a strong federal government that can protect the interest of minority groups in different states.

The idea that a 3rd party vote would, in any way, push american policy towards the middle is incredibly tortured.
If you are sick of polarized politics then I would recommend you cut back on posting super volatile and inaccurate attacks on Clinton that you find on twitter, without even taking the time to verify them for yourself. That would actually accomplish a lot more than a 3rd party vote. If you want this country to move in a positive, non polarized direction, the first thing for you to do would be to model that behavior yourself.
