Holy shit that sucks.
I can't imagine how that would feel...
And of course our local FOX station knows. Took this photo from the broadcast just a few seconds ago.
You know some people were at home today going, "Where the fuck is my FedEx delivery? Fucking assholes."
Sometimes I think about this kind of thing when my deliveries are delayed. Keeps things in perspective.

You would be amazed at how people complain about packages not getting places due to weather that would put the drivers at severe risk.
I work in the shipping industry.
ORLAND, Calif. -- Two witnesses said Friday that a FedEx truck was on fire before it hit a tour bus filled with high school students in Northern California, killing 10.
Bonnie and Joe Duran, whose car was hit by the big rig before it collided with the bus Thursday on Interstate 5 in Orland, told several TV stations that they saw flames coming from the truck as it crossed the center median.
“I was heading along the outside lane. And I looked over and saw the FedEx truck coming right for me and it was on fire already,” Bonnie Duran told KCBS radio.
Duran told KTLA-TV that when the truck hit the bus, there were a series of explosions.
Do those buses have emergency measures so you can pop them out real quick so people can escape?
So, a car accident.
Can we talk about how unsafe driving is in this thread?
Weird that they don't mention either driver.LA Times has an article up listing the confirmed deceased as well as those unaccounted for:

I was going to drive to WalMart later today. Not sure I can do it now.
Holy shit that sucks.

Something that shouldn't have been shipped must have been shipped. Hopefully they figure out what it was.
I mean, obviously any death is tragic, and I'm not meaning to make light of this in any way.
It's just annoying how in a thread about a flight crashing, we have people going "Man, I was supposed to be flying next week. I'm nervous now/going to cancel my flight" and "This is why I avoid airplanes" and such. While realistically stuff like this happens fairly often, and even moreso when talking about regular-size cars. Yet, we don't have people filling these threads with posts like that.
That sign is very macabre unfortunately so, such a horrible accident.
Just horrific.
Just horrific.
Horrible. And Wtf @ the title. Does low income define who they are and were as people? Why does that need to be pointed out in the title?
motivated students, destined to become the first in their families to go to college

:gulp:
Come on... that's horrible
I still think drowning is worst.I hope the ones who died died instantly from the impact. I can't think of a much worse way to die than burning to death.
That "so close" picture is fucked and the person who took it should feel truly bad about themselves. I like a bit of dark humour, but that shit is way beyond the line of what is appropriate.
am I the only one a little weirded out by the kids smiling/seemingly joking? I know people deal differently with shock but man it seems surreal
What does their income level have to do with the car accident though?

You'd think someone would have the sense to look at this photo and decide it would be sensible to not publish this one? At least have had it cropped or something. I mean, I know that horrifically ironic sign is kind of there and dominating, but still...
I got an email from my school about it:
You get fired if you photoshop stuff out of editorial photos....also what is up with those pictures? those photographers should be fired, they were fully aware that those signs were in view, they couldve at least been photoshopped out of the picture if they really needed to frame it that way, just wtf
What a horrible accident, so much senseless death all due to chance. Fuck man what a terrible waste of life... it's scary because events like this make you understand that no matter how alert you are on the road, you can be totally obliterated by happenstance...
