Feel good about Microsoft first party after E3?

the difference is these are from Sony's 1st party studios though.. how are 3rd party dudes relevant to the thread or what was discussed? all those great titles you listed for MS were created outside of MS's studios, other than forza and fable. give me something substantial from a MS studio that's not just Forza, Halo, or GOW and then I'll get excited. Also,if you want to compare franchises.. that's easy to do too..
Also, saying you got some of the guys from Bungie in 343 isn't the same thing as 343 able to replicate Bungie. Like I said.. until 343 can do something different than a borrowed/handed over formula, then I'll give them props. 343 could literally make a turd fest titled "Halo something" and it'll still sell by association. that doesn't equate to being a great studio at all. i'll restate, "it's one thing to make your own name in the gaming world.. it's another thing to be propped up and claim the fame while literally doing nothing." so for the time being, if you want.. Bungie>Guerilla>>343.. KZ might not be as polished in the story department, but GG has made a pretty solid game and solid series.

Sorry but Killzone isn't even as good as the worse Halo hell Resistance 3 is better than pretty much every Killzone game and that was basically "Half Life 2 by way of Insomniac". Story is the absolute least of that series problem, it's one of the most mediocre shooters ever made and only gets any attention because A) it's pretty to look at and B) it's exclusive. If it were third party multiplat no one would give a shit about the silly space Nazi game with enemies that were blatant rip offs of the Kerberos Panzer Cops. Secondly it's funny watching you condemn Turn 10 for "only making Forza" while in your next post praising Polyphony who only makes GT and nothing else.

I also agree with that aside from Naughty Dog, Sony's WW studios are pretty damned overrated. Something i have been saying for YEARS. Sure at the moment their first party is way better than it was in the PS1 and early PS2 era when it was basically a joke. But the way people brag on their first part you'd think they were on the level of Sega in their prime or something. They have a bunch of fairly decent studios, one really mediocre one that is good with tech and Naughty Dog.

Hyperbole? Killzone 2 was pretty damn good shooter. I haven't played 1 or 3, but Shadowfall was an ok shooter, just not as good as BF4 and I'm assuming COD who are at the top for good reasons. Shadowfall lacked some soul which hurt the game due to an absolutely shit writer and an average director, while sound, graphics, environment were top standard. They need writers and directors. I'm assuming those guys must be close/at the top and must not be fired due to being friends with the right people, God knows why they keep allowing such incompetent people ruin potentially great games.

Media Molecule, Polyphony Digital and Santa Monica Studios are top tier studios. They may not be your cup of tea, but stating that Naughty Dog is the only top tier studio while excluding those 3 is pretty fucking hilarious. You can say it for a few more YEARSS!!!, you'll still be wrong. Maybe you've been listening to Lil Wayne too much and think that repeating the same thing over and over again will magically make it true.

Very questionable, personally I do not agree at all.
Leaving out of the topic the Killzone debate, Sony WWS are made by great devs. You can check them yourself on Wikipedia if you need a refresh.

Some of them are still young compared to Nintendo's but they're getting more and more mature in my opinion.
Take Media Molecule for example, from the mediocre LBP to the amazing Tearaway, these guys are really creative.
What I like most, anyway, is that they often try something new. Think about Japan Studio, from Gravity Rush to Soul Sacrifice, Puppeteer, Siren Blood Curse, ICO and SotC, they often collaborate with other devs like From Software with Demon's Souls and now Bloodborne.
Guerrilla, from Killzone to the rumored RPG. Evolution with Driveclub, Naughty Dog and Sony Bend are both working (or will) on something new, same for Media Molecule and I think Guerrilla Cambridge.
Sucker Punch, hopefully, will leave inFAMOUS for something else as well as Santa Monica after GoW4, I will be disappointed otherwise.
In all this we cannot forget to mention Polyphony Digital, I'm sure GT7 will be just outstanding.

I'm really excited to see what they will do this generation, even the new Pixel Opus that started with Entwined.

Microsoft Studios on the other hand are still a.. bet, because they're even younger for the very most.
Leaving out the teams of Kinect Adventures, XBOX Fitness and other "social games" that are on the same boat of Sony London Studio, the big teams we know are 343i with Halo, Turn10 with Forza, Lionhead with Fable and Rare. I'd like to mention Press Play as well, not big but great so far.
The new entries are Team Dakota with Project Spark and BTS with Gears. I call this page of Wikipedia again for help, so everyone can see for himself how many teams are working on their very first game.
They deserve all the trust we have but they also have a lot to prove.

Note I mentioned only first party studios, teams like Remedy, Ready at Dawn, Giant Sparrow, Quantic Dream. Double Helix or Housemarque etc are out even if some of them will probably develop exclusively for one console.
