Wow, other games include NARUTO, ONE PIECE, Dragon Ball Z... anime titles.
We already knew about One Piece and DBZ. I think Naruto is new, albeit unsurprising.

I see the DS as being hugely popular in JPN, & everywhere else for that matter.

Yes, unless sony manages to

-Rectify Battery Life
-Get more developers annoucing games
-Keep the price down

Its going to be a long battle

So what is this Slime Mori Mori game?

One of the GBA's very best games from all accounts is Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest.. a game we're not getting in the US. :( You play as one of the slimes from the series hence the name.

I assume Sony is waiting for TGS to announce some PSP titles...

Yes, but is that making 3rd parties wait too?

Why wait so long? Yeah it will be a big blow out in terms of announcements, but I assume you will see and be able to play DS games at the show.

Square is giving a lot of support to a risky gimmick machine. Does this give hope to large revolution support?

I believe Nintendo is skipping TGS, and going with a series of DS Events across Japan. But, Third Parties might have the games set up, I guess...

I should have said that. Yeah, I assume that 3rd parties would show there newest stuff at TGS and not Nintendo.

I don't know how this industry works but I assume they too are holding off until September. At least we will know for sure this September whether or not the PSP can hold its own (Software, 3rd Parties) against the DS.

Seems like a decent lineup. It would obviously be nice to see a new 2D marquee RPG from these guys, but that's asking a bit much.

A pen != a pencil. Now that we got that over with....

Its an unreleased platform going against GBA and the PSP. If you can not see the similarities to the next generation console launches, then please do not post.

You don't get it, you can't compare a handheld and a console
Different market and situations.

You are right, I have been spending more time away from the computer. Give it about a week and I will be re-brainwashed.

Capcom:

Rockman EXE series
Viewtiful Joe series
Gyakuten Saiban series

Konami:

Yu-Gi-OH! NIGHTMARE TROUBADOUR
Ganbare Goemon (Temp name)
Survival Kids (Temp name)
Vandal hearts (Temp name)

Most of this list excluding a few titles was announced at E3. I'm sure Nintendo knew games like Slime Mori Mori were in development, but chose not to list them on the E3 sheet because they weren't sure if they would come out stateside.

What are all the new games, I must update the lists!

I see Harvest Moon & River King on there. Good to know Marvelous isn't abandoning Nintendo for the lure of PSP, they've got an all new DS RPG too. :)

Winning Eleven, Power Pro, Boktai, Survival Kids, Castlevania, Vandal Hearts... Konami seems to be throwing some major support DS' way also. Someone get a good translation quick please?!

Also, what's it say about August 10th on the bottom?

that doesn't mean they won't make Harvest Moon for PSP, although traditionally, Harvest Moon's most vocal fanbase are people w/ Nintendo systems (both in the US and Japan - heck the original webmaster for the Harvest Moon developer used to run a Nintendo fansite).

Yeah, they actually already announced both Harvest Moon & River King for PSP. It's just nice to see them still supporting both sides. :)

The DS lineup sounds real nice. I kind of feel like Mana should have come to GBA a long time ago instead of going to the DS though. Better late than never I guess.

Well, Mana came to the GBA almost as soon as Square did...

Very interesting that companies are lining up to put their major franchises on DS. Must make a lot of sense to them.

Will there be a REAL metroid game for the DS?
During its lifetime? Signs point to yes, just considering Nintendo's plans for the series (movie, etc).

I sure hope the new Seiken is in addition to a new console Seiken, and not instead of one.

I think the recruiting page on Square Enix's Japanese web site made it seem like it was a console game they were working on. They seemed to be hiring a lot of 3D modelers and such.

Yes, but DS does have 3D graphics capabilities after all. I don't think simple 3D graphics of the kind the DS can produce would be appropriate for the Seiken series. My hope is that they're working on both a 2D Seiken for DS (maybe contracted to Brownie Brown) and an in-house 3D console Seiken.
