Got my PS3 copy sitting on my desk next to me, roll on 3 hours time.
Trying to get onto the Ultimate Team web app at work but keeps swtiching between Servers Unavailable and then a message saying to access it I need to first play Ultimate Team on FIFA 12, which I've done since the beginning..... Annoyingly got my Origin ID for PC version on a different account to the PSN Origin version. Been playing the PC Ultimate Team version fine on the Web App but the PSN version isn't playing ball.
Hopefully it comes back online soon and lets me set up my PSN Ultimate Team...

Also, best UT kit is the Aston Villa away. It glows in the dark and I can't think of a team that it would clash against.

I have no problem throwing down $20 to open up a few packs. It's fun, and one TotW player and you're set.
Oh, and the best way to get better is to play a lot of games! Play against GAFfers, where it is more casual and you can learn a thing or two from each other. Otherwise, youtube some FIFA videos and watch those.

I think FUT encourages people to play bronze and silver level compositions with those tournament limitations. I might be wrong though, haven't played FUT too much.
Essentially, you shouldn't be going against a high level team with a low level team, or the matching is borked.

My manager tasks resetted. Can they be done every day new for a gold pack?
Edit: Apparently a bug. I did a few again, then all activated at once and it told me I got a new pack, but no pack awaited me.

Is there any way to earn promo packs other than winning some in a tournament? Like using the web Ultimate team app daily or something.

Meh, Ultimate Team servers are a mess atm. I cant even play the Single player tournament. I actually already promoted in the Single player Ultimate Season, but it constantly switches its stats between me missing 1 or 2 games. If I play it again, the same still remains.
Poor Christano, and to think he's about to lose the Ballon d'Or to Messi again... ;-)

You get a small daily bonus for using the Web app. Things like some coins, mini bronze pack, etc.

WHAT! I'm in the same boat as you. That's a truly ridiculous and pointless decision. It was probably a check box on some development list (allow Virtual Pro in player base) -- I can't even fathom what they were thinking.

What are you talking about? Manager career mode is in, isnt it? Checking in a few minutes, but pretty sure I saw it.

Manager career is in and player career is in but player manager isn't.
He's talking about player manager mode where you play as both manager managing the club and being a player at the same time playing for said club.
Manchester City in the game is crazy good. Team constantly makes runs and looks for spaces where as Manchester United, the team barely does any of that and my style of play is much slower and you can't use one touch football as much as possible.

This^ Seems they're moving away form the same quality as PES' master league though this year.
As a returning FUT member, you get 4 packs free, plus daily gifts, etc.
so take the money you get out of those packs and you buy high rated players REAL early, like when the FUT Web App releases and nobody has any coins. For example I had about 20,000 coins from selling everything I got in those packs plus daily gifts, I bought 2 David Silvas at 9K each, I sold them both for 45k the day the game came out in the US.
I took that 90k, bought 3 Kelvins (Porto 5* RW Silver) at about 30k each, sold them for about 70-80k each.
So 20,000 -> 240k roughly.
I then bought 4 IF Buttners (Man Utd Silver) for about 60k each. His now worth 100K plus.
