This was brought up when Flocker won EVO as well. A lot people said that Flocker just isn't the type of player who would get a sponsorship because he isn't really active on social media and doesn't really have much of a persona to him. He doesn't really make an effort to promote himself.

So yeah simply winning doesn't guarantee you a sponsorship, you have to bring that extra flavor to the table. ChrisG despite being so dominant for so long really struggled to hold down sponsorships because of this. His most recent sponsorship is probably the one he has held on to the most and not surprising because he has had a major attitude change in himself recently. People have actually stopped actively rooting against (majority at least).

At least in wrestling, guys can overcome having awful or no charisma by getting a manager to speak for them. Nobody in the FGC is gonna wanna do that shit though. And even then some of the technically best guys in the world can perform their asses off, but have the personality of a stump. Then this happens.

During interviews or Excellent adventures you get to see Mike and people like him try to hype up and showing the personality of theirs to shine alittle but it is never enough. Realizing these guys are players and not show men.

What I like is how it contrasts with his silly and goofy side. Some of those gifs of him messing up are so awkward you can't help but fall in love. :3

Manga seems to still be ongoing in Japan, and so far 2 Volumes got released.
Would be great if it can be adapted, but if it has various other games in it that might make it difficult to make an anime of.

He's a really funny guy so everytime he's on topanga he makes everyone laugh. He and Bonchan are really good friends so they both take digs at each other.

His younger self though. Dude was a robot. Well he still was until maybe 3 or so years ago. He seems pretty comfortable in front of the camera and an audience after doing a lot of talk shows both on stream and at live events.

The Nairo vs Zero set was pretty hype at MLG. Crowd started to chant "one more stock" when it was close to the end.

The hype was over powering the DOTA 2 GF happening at the same time (I was actually watching that instead) though that GF was actually insane as well.

Now could he have gotten an earlier flight to LA, I don't know. (And I'm assuming there are no direct flights from Tokyo-Narita to Ontario.)

I think sponsors don't really want players who exclusively play a game that the publisher won't even admit exists.

EG isn't going to pick up a professional MLP fighting game player either. All the Marvel players sponsored by legitimate organizations also play other games.

It's not a fighting game but I'm mostly enjoying Bayonetta 2. Loki sucks as do the flying sequences and the load times to get to the inventory screen are atrocious but combat is still fun. Why do people like this more than the first Bayonetta?

Having played both Bayonettas back-to-back when it was released on Wii U, the first one is just covered in obnoxious game design that heavily detract from the actual fighting. The only elements I actually miss from B1 are losing magic when getting hit and Umbran Climax not existing in that game.
