Speaking of Killer Instinct, any news on the PC version? I'd bump the old thread but I don't think people would appreciate it.

Whenever I use Sol as a training dummy in Xrd, switch control to record him doing something, I end up practicing various dust loops combos for 20 or so minutes, something about dust loops just make you want to keep doing(or trying to at least) them. I don't even play sol in Xrd.

In KoF, I decided to main Leona after seeing her HD combo, even though it's technically just a two special moves loop. It looks hype and charge buffering is pure joy. Games with long ass charge time are missing out on fun charge characters. I'd mention Hwa Jai's drunk mode, but that's not just combos, everything you do in drunk is so fun and satisfying.

In SFIV, srk FADC ultra was fun for while, and I still love doing Sakura's tatsu loops, even though I don't really play the character.

In Tekken, I'd say Nina's flapping butterfly combos look cool, but I've yet to do a single one outside training mode. ;__;

I like it when moves flow together to produce stylish effects. Even though I don't play Vergil, I used to LOVE practicing Spiral Sword loops. Dashing under people to continue the combo feels so cool, as does hitting the c.H link perfectly each time.

The game must be making a really good amount of money for SNK. They have been focusing on the region for a while now, wonder how much KOFXIV is being influenced by that. There was that old rumor about it being more like 98 in terms of combos etc. instead of XIII.

Someone made an interesting observation elsewhere, mentioned that maybe XIV's graphics are on the low end so that it would be easy to run even on weaker computers (and thus more accessible in general). Kind of like how Dragon Dogma Online's specs make it seem like Capcom wanted the game to be able to work on a toaster.

Doesn't excuse the game from being butt ugly but does seem plausible.

Also, for those that haven't seen it:

The King of Fighters XIV vs XIII Comparison

At the very least it will probably play/feel like a classic KOF it seems.

Ya, Jiyuna has done some things he was banned for on Twitch, but I still think he's a pretty good guy, his fun just takes him a little too far sometimes.

Sometimes he shares stories of Japan on stream which are pretty amusing.

There's still no solid release date for that other than them "targeting" middle of this month right? Practically the only thing giving me the willpower to not buy another PS4 so I can play Fallout 4/Battlefront (since my wife has already called dibs on our existing PS4 for Fallout) is the hope that Yakuza 5 will come out so I can distract myself with that for at least a little while.

BB can f off cause they're not keeping game current in US, same w T7. If same issue w GG replace w Marvel.

Actually I think it was that he tweeted something that gaf mods didn't like while he had a pending account to be activated and they said he had no chance now.

I think Honzogonzo may have been the one to be permed.

I'm...actually okay with this lol. I still think Marvel is a lock for 2016 though, but it probably gets pretty dubious the following year. That said if Marvel is a lock I'm not sure what they take off of your list which is pretty solid. I guess they could potentially drop Ultra but I feel like that probably deserves a last hurrah. KI will get money hatted regardless of anything else. MKX is a given, Melee is a given, and Smash 4 is probably also a given with turnouts. Guilty Gear has done respectably well turnout wise and also fills the "obligatory" anime spot. So yeah, I dunno what they really do if they're only running 7 games. Someone's not going to be happy regardless. Only other games I can think of that would even have a chance would maaaybe be Pokken and Tekken 7, but I have no idea how Pokken is going to be received (as well as when it's coming out), and I don't think they'd run T7 on arcade boards again.

I don't want GG or BB if they're out of date, personally. I want ASW to learn to prioritize their fans.

Is MKX still a thing? I'd rather see USFIV gone, too. Watching a game everyone has moved on from is a rather dull affair.

I want DOA there but I know it's fucked with EVO so I won't even waste time on that.

Now for a discussion, I love how people say sf4 is the holy grail when they forget this game had multiple revisions and changes done. This is not the game in 09, similarly while it won't have the name changes, you can be sure SF5 will go through different iterations as well. They bring out hype refreshes change the meta, it's all good. Seems people have selective memory about the greatness of sf. They remember AE Yun and 2012 Cammy and Queen Ibuki? I think not.

7 games are way too few unless MrWiz is planning something drastic like not taking money hats or not having USF4 on there.

And I agree that if ASW games will not be up to date then they should fuck right off. Though because of money hats from ASW, one of those games will end up making it anyway.

I think if MrWiz is serious about dropping USF4 then the line up is simple:

I'm sure Xrd will make it in time for Evo. BBCF however is 100% likely to get fucked over by the ASW release schedule.
