People were saying things similar to this all the time when 13 was first released. Even though I've spent more time playing it than other games, I still can't shake the feeling that there's definitely something off about the game compared to older KOFs. Also, who here still even plays 13 or the UMs on steam? I've been trying to get matches for the past week and no one on my friends list is playing the game anymore. After enjoying the simplicity of the SFV beta, I just can't bring myself to grind out the encyclopedia of BB at the moment.

Also, SF will naturally separate itself from the FGC at large when it has the numbers to do so. Rushing it will just ensure it fails.

Both 02 and 13 are dead.

He was super broke but he seems better now. He created like two Nico channels, one to stream games with a guy I don't know and another to do other wacky stuff, with I think Kokujin and some other guy. He went on a date with a JAV actress I don't know if he's done anything else on that channel. On SF5 it's hard to say. Before 3s he played SNK games and started playing GG but dropped it and only played third strike since I think Slash came out. Now he started playing Xrd and apparently Ogawa is teaching him.

People still played, and wanted to play, but you had to do matchmaking on sites like DreamCancel and through your friends list. Nowadays, not a single person on my friends list is on 13 or even 98/02UM. Which is a shame. As much as I've bitched about 13 in the past, I legitimately enjoy playing it. The game's dead as fuck now.
 
Is their any other character thats playable in a fighting game to have as solid and varied of a toolset as Zato? This guy is ridiculous.

Maybe Metaknight in Brawl?

The most well rounded fighting game characters is a super small list, zato is not on said list.

Ky Kiske GGAC and up
Jin Kisaragi bbcp and up
SSF2T Ryu

There is an obvious pattern here
Missing a lot of SG characters

Cerebella is the most feature packed of all grapplers in fighting games, Parasoul is probably one of the strongest charge characters in fighting games with a charged fireball game stronger than most quarter circle characters, Valentine has literally every tool except an invul DP (for that she has a counter super that works two different ways depending on whether or not her needle is charged), Filia is am all rounder Ryu combined with Magneto made to stand on her own in a spiritual successor to MvC2/VSav and these are just some of the characters. The entire game is made up of characters who are supposed to stand on their own since SG uses the CvS ratio system. Most of these characters would be A tier in UMvC3 at their very lowest if they were part of an update (lolwe'renevergettinganupdate).

Carl has an invincible command dash that allow his doll's attacks to cross you up.

Maybe you already know, but it doesn't hurt to clarify, but the command dash isn't fully invul. Ever since EX, A and B version cover different types of invul.

A version for projectiles. B version for Head and Body attribute (not Foot).

I've heard about the Dreamcancel MM, they do it once every month I think. If you wanna play KOF just go to Fightcade, KOF players are to poverty even for Steam sales.

Yeah I mostly play with people already in my list or just offline anyway.

In any case, I don't like the "feel" of KOF13. I go to KOF02 and it feels right, but when I play 13 something feels off and I don't know what it is.

2002UM and 13 have very similar rules but very different playfeel. Different cancel windows, jumpin hitstun, roll data, CDs play a very different role... they're just very different games feel-wise. 2k2 is a lot faster and more about short combos and stray hits, 13 is more of a conversion game.

KOF02UM on steam is really, really cheap. I bought it because it was cheap and I was hoping for full on move lists for all characters to help practice for when I fight on Fightcade, and...there's no command list inside the game.

It has a move list. It's in the pause menu, and accessible in training mode as well.

2002UM K' is ridiculous. The character's completely stone cold retarded. Highly mobile, has a working DP, good assortment of buttons, good zoning and antizoning ability, good ability to play footsies, strong pressure with a good high/low/throw mixup that deals damage... he's just not lacking in any aspect.

ST Dhalsim too, I'd say. Melee Fox and Brawl MK, obviously. I think you could make an argument for Xrd Sol, maybe Elphelt but including her is stretching it a bit.

Some KOF13 top tiers might also deserve a mention - EX Iori and Benimaru, at least. Mr. Karate pretty much has everything, too.

Just want to clarify how to beat it on wakeup since I see too many people let Carl get away with those.

Are you saying you think this route will help SF grow more as a brand rather than being side by side with a bunch of other games? That's going to be kind of difficult since part of the foundation of the CPT is the community tournaments that run year round. Capcom doesn't want to intrude with community tournaments since that will cause some controversy and I'm not sure if anybody is willing to step up and create a SF only event and actually expect a good turn out unless Capcom promises to award them a spot in the CPT.

Like that matters. CPT uses community tournaments because it's cheaper than when they ran their own exclusive qualifiers.
 
MK9 Kabal is either the best or top 3 in pretty much every aspect. pressure, zoning, counter zoning, counter poking, armor, wakeups. Has no losing match ups and it's possible he beats everyone.

Rollback netcode is a big seller on PC and it does wonders to extend a fighting game's longevity on PC. It's no coincidence that SG is one of only fighters close to USFIV in terms of sales and online activity on steam. Check every steam community for a fighter before (and after release) and you'll see people asking about rollback netcode. If Capcom has full on ping display and changeable delay settings SFV will take off like a rocket. Too bad this reality will have to be hammered into ASW's head. Most of their fighters would probably have 3 to 4 times the sales (and online activity) if they had rollback netcode.

Hitomi Tanaka is super overrated she's the OoT of JAV
She went uncensored years ago but signed exclusively to some US studio. Besides, take it from someone witht a wife whose got the huge top. Booty life is where it's at.

Poor gal can't even find bras, all shirts become tents, neck and shoulder tension for days, underwires may as well be a slow carving torture device, always warm and always feeling worried bout underboob sweat, and she can't let the girls roam free because they'd sag soon without support.

It's nice when I'm doin computer stuff and she sneaks up to drop them on my head though...when I regain consciousness and there are no concussions it's always fun.

It's her level three lol.

Yeah, but I think that is mostly a stylistic difference. You need Eddie walk speed to footsies and approach your opponent. Ada is just a battering ram you throw across the screen.

Im checking out Carls normals atm without the doll and they seem really bad, certainly worse than Zatos. I could imagine catching him without his doll to be really bad for him.

Sol is another character who I feel like revolves around one style...i nean ive never really seen a defensive Sol. He has a dp but all of his tools are for corner carry and 100% RTSD.

Iori has like rekkas, command grab... what else? Ive always viewed him as just a high dmg character?
