Looking at the NCR results, and while Bison doesn't appear until 33rd place, I don't even see a Laura in top 50.

Meanwhile Laura has won two decent sized tournaments in Europe. Kindevu also got second with Laura at mixup night but that's a local.

I think it's more like no major players are maining her. Maybe as time goes on, more players will start to emerge, but the current players dominating the scenes are players who have been playing for quite a while and they've mainly gone with characters like Nash,Ryu,R.Mika and Chun-Li. It's gonna take a year or two for fresh blood to start making a showing in pools and that's when the newer characters and characters that aren't so popular will start making a big showing.

EDIT: So no, it's not the character that's the problem here, more like nobody's willing to stick with her.

Such a shame what happened to Justin, you'd think after so many years of playing fighting games, he'd have a handle on letting things like dropped combos get to him. Not to take anything away from Tokido of course, he earned that comeback.

There isn't even much of an excuse for those drop combos... it's not like those were difficult 1 frame links... it was SFV.

I mean yeah a scrub like me drops SFV combos but you would expect Justin Wong to hit those combos pretty much all the time.

Wanted Justin to win since Tokido clearly didn't stand a chance against Infiltration.

Not saying that Justin would have given Infil a run for his money but it would have been more entertaining than watching Tokido getting owned again.

Guess GFs will be a snore for a while to come until someone gets to Infil's level.

When Infiltration dominated for a while after winning EVO 2012, there was loads of complaints about how OP Akuma was. But obviously the guy proved while the character was strong, it was the player that mattered most. Infiltration is by no means a tier whore. Instead he is very MU conscious and is willing to learn and play characters he thinks will give him an advantage. This also provides more depth of knowledge of the game and how to play against every single member of the cast.

If Nash is a top tier character, than he is the cleanest, most honest one yet. I'd rather be out maneuvered and block booms all day than lose to scumbag Mika, lolol. No one can complain about his success in SFV right now.

I don't think Urien will be exactly like his 3S self in that they'll definitely be less juggle potential.
