I translated the bit about capcom USA to this

"We are sorry for our international players. Capcom JP decided to allow each regions divison to choose when they would release update information regarding updates to the players. (This was problematic as the JP site had updates on ibuki and other ahead of USA). We have realized the problems that it has created and apologize. From now on, Capcom JP will make it so that every update like this one you are reading is available at the same time".
I wouldn't say they're burning out Capcom USA that much but yeah I can see how they're shifting the blame a bit.

If I learned anything from my dive into Sega's history around the Saturn era, it's that the JPN branch always loses their shit when the USA goes rogue, and even more if they start outdoing them.

The Japan vs United States rivalry at Sega literally killed the company. If the Japanese side just sat quiet and focused on arcades and let the United States branch focus on consoles than the Saturn would have been very successful and Sega would still be around today.

Not even Sega of that era (where the friction between regions was beyond real) was brazen enough to publicly throw another division under the bus like that. That just strikes me as beyond insane, and if anything it's just going to make the divide worse. Why even bother trying to stay in line when you're going to turn into roadkill anyway? May as well piss everyone off and hope you're right.

Sega of that era was so salty they'd let the other branch spend millions on creating an add-on and not bother telling them that the main branch is releasing a new console, just to have the satisfaction of watching the add-on crash and burn.

Ed Boon just changed his Twitter Avatar to the Number 2 guys

Its happening. He tends to do things like this right before an announcement and E3 is right on us. Get ready guys...Injustice 2 looks like it will get announced soon. I cannot wait to see what comes next.

Possible things that seem likely to be on the list of tools that get tweaked:
  • Movement. Faster walk speeds was a big gripe in the old game and early gameplay had a lot of folks confused by how to deal with zoning. Folks adapted and Deathstroke zoning got a nerf but I wouldn't be surprised if we see new stuff so nerfs arent something they have to resort to as often just to get people in on folks. Whether its runs, or dashes, rolls or whatever I couldn't guess.
  • Meter. Its no secret this always gets a change as new mechanics approach. Given the last game had meter burn on soooo many things from Interactibles to moves to B3 stuff alongside of a wager system that used it I wouldn't doubt the meta gets hugely shaken by this alone.
  • Character Gimmicks. I couldn't even begin to count the number of TYM threads on character gimmicks whether it was bitching about a dull one or praising a good one or even proposed different ones. I'd easily believe we see something new here. Could mean variation styles like MKX, could mean custom pick a gimmick, could just be a changed one. Who knows? I bet its getting shaken up.
  • The breaker/comeback system. Wagers were shit. They served as the dullest breaker ever and generally didn't act as a comeback mechanic at all. I'd guarantee changes here above all else.
  • Interactibles/stage transitions. These were even being tweaked in patches in the original. Whatever they do with meter will be a large factor here.
  • Wakeups. I wouldn't doubt with all the 50/50 talk and with all the salt us Bane mains poured on that they wouldn't be working in new wakeup options.
  • Single Player minigames. Yeah yeah yeah...folks LOVE NRS single player bonus content. Last time though these minigames were pretty hit or miss. Here's hoping we see some new variety in there :)

At this point either would be great. The past MK and DC games were fantastic. I'd be down for either. Here's hoping we get a different MK character this time for a cameo in Injustice. Imagine if Kung Lao showed up. It'd probably be Sub Zero if it isn't Scorpion again but man the tournament fun we'd have with Perfect Legend getting Kung Lao in Injustice given how little a presence he was in the first one. It'd be nice to see him loud and talking trash again.
So Sonicfox can 13-0 him with Batgirl :D

Always down more for a versus/dreammatch type games for the variety. Had a solo MK and Injustass so it's time now hopefully
PL learned his lesson. Atleast he is better than LTG TBH

Oh man I forgot how bad the faces were in Injustice. They seem to have improved with MK X, though.

By a large margin as well. I'm curious what sorts of new outfits and spins on character design they'll take this time around. That Shazam was fucking awesome last time.

God the things they could do if The Ray ever got a left field slot on the roster. Hnnnnnnng...sadly its unlikely lightning will strike twice for me in fighting games. I got Iron Fist, but I doubt I'll ever see The Ray.

Still just imagine the folks that could get the NRS costume treatment. Static, Darkseid, Swamp Thing, Dr. Fate, Constantine, Rorschach, Red Hood...so much good stuff to play with.

I guess this is their initial tweet about it

https://twitter.com/CapcomFighters/status/738852093549629440

So it seems like Capcom was not OK with porn but cool with the rest. Enough people cried about how hypocritical that looks and they said "OK fine, none are allowed then". I really don't think that's what people were asking for, but that's the new conclusion they came to.

It's also probably easier for them to just have a straight across the board policy on this stuff anyway. It certainty would have cone up in a big way with the Bud Light stuff.

Really? Banning Bud Light?

I'd ask if Capcom were completely fucking stupid, but I already know the answer to that.
