Complaining with cash

Makin' it RAAAIIIN to the management and concierge.

Concierge can't do shit. This is why fighting game players end up with shitty rooms.
when you are older, more experienced, more travelled, and less broke its easy to get a better room. Though depending on who I'm travelling with ill take a shitty room to make sure I wont have to worry about noise complaints

Speaking of which, wasn't there a sequel coming that was kickstarted? I'm assuming it turned out to be the scam it appeared.

Yep. Looking up their page, it seems they're still working on it but haven't really show anything substantial since funding ended.

Welp looks like that's another Kickstarter scam of the Inafune kind.

To be fair though, I'm sure Shaq was busy with that whole CSGO League that was airing on TBS for a while.

I've started building a little web site that is a fantasy game for fighting game tournaments. It's still a work in progress but I rushed out a barebones version to at least get a little action going for EVO. So, please, try it out! The game is just to pick five players for SFV at EVO, within your budget, who you think will score the most points. Let me know what you think. I'll post standings after the tournament.

Got my team purchased:

CASH REMAINING: $910,000
Xiaohai $9,370,000
Momochi $6,450,000
Bonchan $1,780,000
Nemo $970,000
Tonpy $520,000

Some of the Japanese on the player on that list were a steal especially Nemo. Tonpy can probably do some damage with his Chun Li and $500K was a steal. Bonchan can also show up big even though he hasn't done much, a steal at that price.

That allowed me to pick two big players who have performed well. Went for Momochi because he is a consistent performer and with my last $10K I went for Xiaohai as anything above him was past my budget.

Only American I would've bought on there was Knuckledu and maybe some random for $500K but at that point I would rather buy a cheap Japanese player instead.

And where's the one for Marvel?

Don't think the site works on mobile. Still, cool stuff!

Cool stuff. Will post my team.

Cash Remaining: $630,000

Haitani - $8,170,000

Haitani is arguably the most consistent player as he always places very high in every tourney he's been to. I think he only didn't place in top 8 at G-League where he finished 9th.

Flash - $2,410,000

Flash Metroid and his Vega are scary good. He did very well at CEO and I think he'll do well here.

Nuki - $1,670,000

The second best Chun in the world imo. His price is low, and I think he'll do really well.

Itabashi Zangief - $1,550,000

The best Gief in the world atm. He only needs to make a few good reads to be able to beat any top player. He is well worth the money.

Fuudo - $5,570,000

Top 5 player in the world and the best Mika no question. I have little doubt he'll be in Top 8, and is a favorite to win it all.

Thanks to all who are testing it out!

Thanks. Yep, mobile will have to wait for the 2.0 release :) This was all super last-minute, I was banging away on this today.

And where's the one for Marvel?

2.0! I do want to feature more games. But I couldn't make it happen in the time frame.

Some of the Japanese on the player on that list were a steal especially Nemo. Tonpy can probably do some damage with his Chun Li and $500K was a steal. Bonchan can also show up big even though he hasn't done much, a steal at that price.
And where's the one for Marvel?

Yeah. It's a little weird having a guy like Nemo that cheap, but I just did the prices as a linear function of the ranking points on SRK and didn't mess with it. Maybe that's not the best way, but, I think it turned out surprisingly well. I looked at the salary list and it wasn't immediately clear , to me anyway, whether it was better to do a top-heavy team or a more rounded one. And I figure the star players who are super cheap, it's mostly due to inactivity, and no matter how good the player, lack of actual tournament play has to affect their chances.

Good shit to EVO staff for scheduling the Namco Bandai panel DURING the Tekken 7 Top 8. I'm sure forcing the 3D community to choose between the two was the best option.

Just got word that the website times is the correct schedule. Bang The Machine at 10AM Sat!

Confirmation that the sign was wrong. Bang the Machine will be during Tekken 7 Top 8 and the Namco panel is later.

Capcom 10AM tomorrow? I am prepared for disappointment.

What the hell is Bang the Machine?
Old documentary with a big budget that will never come out officially because of copyright problems. The masters were in the twin towers on 9/11.

Can anyone explain that Vega 'fix' to me. It says his V-trigger now works properly as a reversal in BH..but it doesn't have invincibility how does it reversal anything?

"Reversal" just means "move performed as soon as possible after wake-up/blockstun/landing/hitstun". I guess that wasn't possible with Vega's V-Trigger for some reason.
It's got nothing to do with invincibility and reversals don't have special properties in SFV from what I know, unlike SF4.

I wished the Cannon brothers got the rights to the music so that they can redistribute again. Damn copyright bullshit vortexes need to be nerfed...

It does have start-up invincibility during the VT activation, it just runs out before the rose hits. Don't know the exact frames, but I've seen Vega use it to get out of some meaty fireballs set-ups where activating v-trigger make the fireball completely whiff.

I don't think $5 for a collab costume is a rip off. Also remember DOA stages are free and those cost much more than costumes do.Also always use sales for DOA costumes.
