Smug could use a little help in mannerism. He appeared so nervous and shy, looking down with his hands in his pockets, etc. You have to keep your head up high and speak with decisiveness.

I think there is if you count the saving/focus attack being born out of the parry. I mean, if you tweak one tiny thing in a fighting game the combat feels completely different, so even though there are drastic changes there is some refinement or shifts in balance to different aspects of gameplay that root back in SFII or even SF really.

SFV's changes are looking just as, if not more drastic than its predecessors.

Killer Instinct is really it's own thing. The neutral game is very similar to Street Fighter, but the combo system is what differs KI from all other fighting games on the market. It definitely has it's own technicalities.

smug's playing really clean right now. 1-0

edit: smug showing his lack of matchup knowledge as he's getting hit by ambiguous gen setups. 2-1 xian

edit2: wow! xian was unable to close the game out as smug made a comeback with a magic pixel. 3-2 smug

edit3: each round has been pretty close as xian and smug won rounds with ~10% health left. 4-3 smug

edit4: xian took game 8 convincingly. is smug gonna choke? 4-4

edit5: with about 15% health left, xian u2'd dudley's jump-in and it was all downhill from there. 5-4 xian

wow i thought xian had this in the bag. completely different than TFC



it's easier to see smug get blown up than for him to lose close sets like that.

5 -1 momochi. Momo had complete control of the mid range and was driving the pace of the entire set. daigo never got an opportunity to start anything.
