Shadows getting really buffed is great. They're probably actually going to be used now, aside from Shadow Mitsuru 90-100% combo shenanigans.

Edit: Wonder if P4U2 ver. 1.1 will be coming with the new characters on April 25, or if it's just the balance updates. There's at least the new mode that will go along with it, which they haven't detailed yet.

That's such a weird decision not to lengthen it just a little bit, not really in terms of a tuning issue, but in terms of a "this is actively obnoxious" issue.

I dunno, T.hawk needs a pressure tool. Unlike Gief or Hakan, he doesn't have a viable one in AE2012. Spire can't be FADC'd and is way too punishable because of how slow it is. Dive is too risky and punishable. It basically leaves him with EX Spire which he can only use when he has meter and that had issues in AE as well as an option for getting in.

Spire is still -7 on block in Ultra and only -2 on hit so it's going to be punishable still. It gives something T.hawk can use for getting around, something he was lacking in every iteration up until this point.
 
Damn Rolento looks like pure booty in Ultra. What does he even do?

Moves all over the screen easily, doing very little damage but hitting his ultra every round.

T.Hawk is certainly being made to look better than Hugo at this point. I'm looking forward to seeing what, if anything, a good Hugo can do (beyond hit his super)

Not too familiar with Persona; why is it disappointing for the most part?

Whenever I post tomorrow remind me. I'm insanely tired and there's actually a lot to talk about. Short version: The games need a lot more tweaks to even touch on the main concerns from the serious P4U players. I'm hoping this is just a short preview list of notable changes or they're waiting on the new/console/whatever characters to do a more serious overhaul.

Yup, Rolento has a tricky neutral game that will give a lot of the cast problems. I'm more concerned about wakeup. I guess dwu will help I guess. At least he has roll and air raid.

They nerfed Hugo from the previous build it seems. He could anti air consistently with st.Hp because of armor in the previous build, now the armor seems very limited.

Thawk looks good now.. Too good?

Also Dhalsim seems just as bad as before. But then again.. I have only seen him used once (During hours of gameplay in different arcades) and it was against a Cammy. Nearly souble perfect, so didn't tell me much:p

If only to stop our ears from bleeding.

I think they may have implemented the "only on ground" armor for Hugo, thankfully. But will need someone to put in lab time on him to see what exactly is going on.

Keep in mind that Spire frame data is written for hitting on the first active frame. Usually this is not the case due to forward movement!

- Reach on her cr.mk is longer now making her cr.hp, cr.hp, cr.mk, mp Thunder Knuckle doable on a few more characters.
- Red Focus Attack will reach if you hit lp or mp Thunder Knuckle for the most part.
- U2 will connect using her mediums (via superjump, I guess), so you can counterhit with the tip of her c.mk into an instant U2. It gets me a bit hyped.

9 active frames, I think? It can trade with a lot of things to or get beat though. It's a hilarious anti-air when used right.

Yeah, it's 9. Just checked it again. The hurtbox on it actually extends in front of the hitbox though. At least, according to old data. It makes it kind of icky to use straight forward with someone that has good buttons/reactions. Ironically, its vertical hitbox/hurtbox line up making it a decent anti-air as a result. :p

So they improved Hawk's frames and for the most part Makoto is buffed(when she was already good), even though she got some nerfs after the initial changes.. I can't be more happier tbh..

And the first match has a 6k bp ibuki, really wanted to see what she was like in this (hopefully 1 player/character doesn't dominate these 90 mins like the first footage Acho had for AE and Xrd lol)

Edit - Ibuki player already on an 8 match win streak at the start lol, 7 mins in the clip and it's now @ 10, Still people getting hit by kunai's after neckbreaker even using DWU.

well at least being able to cancel the ending part of Bufula into any Droit should be fun to test out, I'm assuming the whole "droit through Bufula = faster droit + freeze on contact" bit is still in.

I should get better with using that move in general, even if I doubt I'll use Shadow Mitsuru much

Honestly I'm more curious about the new mode, mainly since we don't quite know what it is yet. Unlike how it's pretty much set in stone that Ken and Rise are joining (pulled Best Buy listing and that tweet Ken's VA made). I'm hoping it's something like a survival mode.

Why is there a Japanese Sagat vs an English Sagat? Did they enable people to change language used for voices based on their cards/profile? Does this mean it's like Blazblue for console where you get to hear the voices of whatever your opponent uses. Does this mean I'll have to hear countless "Try this on for size!!" from the online Ken army in Ultra?
