Real answer is Pyron maybe.

If they put Fire Leo in capcom allstars I would have to main him just for his theme song.

Also I think Alexia Ashford can sort of replace Dorm too. She's got the fire stuff down, purification could just be a bunch of tentacles coming from the ground and meteors can be larvae. Not sure how'd they work the teleports but I think she could be incredibly badass in a fighting game.

She has an epic theme too.

Everyone argue about this now pls.

It is the Capcom fighter I had the most amount of fun with so I would agree with that placement. Well, the vanilla version anyway. Haven't played Ultimate as much as I would have liked to.

I would really love a Nintendo vs. Capcom. Or even Namco vs. Capcom. Forget everything else.

On another note, I finally got all my medical coverage stuff taken care of and now the next step is to start making trips to the doctors in 2 weeks. Probably gonna end up getting some major surgery at one point or another x.x/

Thankfully my best friend is already down to go to evo in 2 years :D and is going to start dragging me around to local and nearby cities for tournaments beforehand.

Capcom fighting game tiers:

S:
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
UMVC3
Marvel vs Capcom 1
Capcom Fighting Jam
Saturday Night Slam Masters

A:
3rd Strike
Vampire Savior
Hyper Fighting
CVS2
Marvel Superheroes

B:
Marvel 2
Super Turbo
Alpha 2
AE2012
Rival Schools

C:
Alpha 3
Red Earth
Plasma Sword
TvC
Onimusha Blade Warriors

D:
Everything Else

F:
Power Stone

This list is bad and you should feel bad.

Gill has meteors, close enough.

SSF4 sold about 60% of SF4, and as far as I can figure out, all the WoW expansions only hit about 30-40% attach rate to the number of subscribers. Diablo 2's expansion only sold about a quarter of the base game.
That can't be right re: WoW, at least not for the early expansions.

The only reliable Burning Crusade numbers I could find(directly from Blizzard) were 3.5 million about 6 months in when WoW had an 8.5 million active subscriber base. So 30-40% is actually very optimistic if you consider what total sales of WoW must have been to have 8.5 million active users.

3S too high, Marvel 2 and TvC too low. Otherwise, not bad.

Idk MvC2 is pretty much a failure as far as fighting game design goes. Only thing that dragged it along was the community. I could say the same for capcom fighting jam being so fucking high up on that list as well. MvC2 and capcom fighting jam are actually sibling games in a sense.

MvC2 shines in sheer awesome and fan service, despite it being possibly one of the most broken and exploited games ever, not to mention one of the most lazily crafted. But balance alone doesn't make games fun.

I would swap Jojo's and Power Stone on that list. Jojo's is bad and will forever be bad.
I haven't even played JoJos but I know I won't because of how bad the characters look alone. I just assume they must be developed as fuck in the manga for people to even half like them.

Some of the characters in the game have gotten only like 2 pages in the manga LOL

Wasn't Capcom Fighting Jam an ass tier game? I know it dumbed down some characters.

Capcom Fighting Jam is like CvS1, it was never that bad of a game, just that it's half assed and unpolished. The whole character switching thing was actually very smart and I frequently wished it returned. If they had made a CFJ2 and spent some budget on it I could have seen it being a great game. Look at this and tell me if anything stood out as being terrible:

SFxT is probably closer to being ass tier, if they had made a SFxT2 I could still see it being ass because SFxT had very little redemning elements.

Introducing elements to the genre that others use commonly.

Special moves/QCFs and DPs - Street Fighter
Multiple distinct playable characters - Street Fighter 2
Supers - Super Turbo Art of Fighting
This is the criteria I agree with.

I guess MK for juggles too.

What makes a fighting game important?

Fun to play, system mechanics that complement the tools of the characters to help even the odds vs each other but not give any other character a major advantage, character fight styles distinct, a wide variety of playstyles, each character as close to each other in power as possible, if not damage based balanced with speed or shenanigans, and good visual keys for attacks so anyone playing for the first time even can defend or react on reaction *if they have that ability to do so*

The minor things are, good music, good character design, good backgrounds.

Well that's what important fighters have to me. The community as a whole doesnt view it that way.

This thread looks like the fucking Marvel OT. Too many long post, and wish list. Can't we just go back to talking about who's the best power ranger and who in the FGC is what DBZ character?

A capcom only fighting game would do sales nowhere near the levels others expect. Also it would heavily divide the fanbase.

And SFxT had 10 X the PR that vanilla MvC3 had and vanilla MvC3 outsold it not including Ultimate's sales.

I would be all for a CFG type game but if done to replace the Marvel vs Capcom series, it would bomb hard. I mean, look at how much money Capcom has to be using to keep SFxT relevant.

Also, it was BOTH Capcom and Marvel that caused the release. Marvel has its own games as well.

This thread is far from a MvC OT right now. This thread in general bounces around games as a centerpiece of discussion at times here and there which leads to other games being brought up. Though I tend to spare this thread of all my BB video link post I been doing.

I am still amazed that SFxT managed to split its player base into people who think its ass and people who think its the bees knees. If SFxT didn't have disc locked content, I wonder what the real verdict on it would be.

I'm in the Mike Ross/Justin Wong camp on the game and waiting for v2013 to jump back in, but I don't think the game can be salvaged for stream monsters.

... Iron Man is ASS!

bububut joker uses him and then iron man can *insert theory fighter bullshit here* that means he's good guys

I never minded the DLC being on the disc. I thought it was stupid to have it being held back for the Vita version. That made no sense whatsoever.

I don't think disc-locked content had a huge impact on "fighting game fans'" opinions after it came out, and hurt it's appeal to casuals much more.

Real talk I still consider picking it up from time to time just because I can customize colours and play 4 player splitscreen with my little cousins. I could care less about the rest of the game.
