Yeah what's sucks is that the stream monsters are making it worse. Seem's like the only non-childish ones involved were moons and pr themselves.

I have to really commend Champ and Rog for taking the higher road here. Champ from two years or so ago would probably went off. Amazing how things die fast when no attention is being paid to it.

When is the hubby ever wrong? :)

Incorrect. If Dormammu does Purification x Stalking Flare, and Hawkeye blocks the Purification, he has just barely enough time to superjump and Gimlet, and Gimlet passes over Stalking Flare. I've never met a Hawkeye that knew this, though!

I had a feeling I was going to get nailed for that one.

No worries, I even had to tell ChrisG and F. Champ about it. Oddly enough, everyone seems to know that Wesker can just superjump -> gunshot, though. You'd be surprised what answers characters have to Stalking Flare. There are only a handful of characters that have no answer to it at all.

Clearly Wesker's projectile counter is the superior choice.
Hahaha. Answers for your characters (assuming no DHC from Dormammu):
X-23: Weapon X Prime
Wesker: Superjump, d.H
Magneto: Magnetic Shockwave

Any character: superjump + call projectile assist. Stalking Flare will follow the point character up, and the assist will hit Dormammu.

Stalking Flare is one of the most overrated hypers in the game.
I still love it.

Haggar's answer to Stalking Flare full screen is to throw a garbage can, the rumoured new move he was supposed to get when UMvC3 was being revealed.

Hahaha, I remember that rumor. Haggar has no answer, but if he's on point he generally has a projectile assist backing him up. If you're anchoring Haggar without a projectile assist against Dormammu you deserve what you get! :p
1D2C all day against Haggar.

I remember thinking that was ridiculous for so many reasons, particularly because trash cans have never been usable objects in the Final Fight universe.

Work schedule change this year let me see this live. Always nice to see teams that aren't used all the time.

There's been some interesting teams tonight. Someone took a game off Infrit using Trish/Wright/Raccoon. He had a setup where he did Raccoon's mine super, then tagged in Wright and had him sit on the mine and pick up items.

And Marn played Strider/Vergil/Zero for a couple games. It looked like he had some interesting XF3 tech for Zero.

It's not too late Marn. Do it for Sherry. LOL.

Speaking of Sherry. She's on Marlin's stream. Marlin X Sherry?

So today twitter drama is James Chen vs anime. It was about what games will be at EVO and some people may interpret his words as saying tat anime scenes don't support weeklies.
James Chen is probably the most Capcom-bias dude in the FGC. You see it come out of him every time they try to cover other games on UltraChen.

It's not so much Capcom bias as it is SoCal bias.

My eyes nearly rolled into the back of my head when he said that Fanatiq "lives about as far away from SoCal while still being SoCal" and has to make huge efforts to get to WNF. His city is less than 100 miles away.

Those of us in the southeast make 3-hour trips to 16-man Marvel tournaments on a monthly basis.

I felt bad reading that because I'm a little over 35 miles away from Next Level and I've only been there less than a handful of times.

Scumbag FGC ignores numbers at majors, concentrates on numbers for weeklies.
Eh, the bar moves around. Sometimes it is majors, sometimes weeklies are the big things and sometimes people argue that gangrene is setting in because a game can't hit good numbers at a regional tournament that doesn't ever match up to majors.

Just because people aren't spending hours to drive to an arcade on a weekday in one area doesn't mean that a game is dead.

Seriously. Next Level is ass deep in Brooklyn. Some people don't wanna make that trip. It takes me a little under 2 hours to get there by train. Trip back always takes longer for some reason.

Yeah I live in Brooklyn and that shot is always a trek.

I tried Popeye's twice because of that thread.

Also, red beans and rice are a disgusting combination.
I'm so late, but holy shit the Dominican in me wants to footdive you in the stomach right now. Red beans and white rice is our lifeblood, man.

lol

It is pretty neat when you get there your first time, though. I like the park around the area for the most part and the arcade itself has a shitload of TVs. That was a fun experience. Too bad I missed so many Vampire tournies that summer.
