For the game's sake, I hope Justin bodies everyone at the next tournament he enters.

The game's pretty much screwed until she's banned as far as I can tell. It's pretty much letting ST Akuma roam free. People saying she can be beaten is dumb as well. Akuma could be beat too but everything was super in his favor vs everyone

There's going to always be a large, vocal, (ignorant) portion of the player base who says "people need to just try harder." when it comes to bans/nerfs. Hopefully some sense prevails before EVO (assuming this game has a slot there.)

Basically, the game is the epitome of good accessibility and deep gameplay, IMO. The game has simple controls and nothing too fancy in terms of executions but thanks to the way the combat plays out and the 2v2 nature keeps matches from getting old. Have you guys been playing the new DBZ game demo

it plays like a shittier Gundam Extreme VS. It's got online multiplayer, and the player base is kind of stupid.

I also noticed that the overall damage was lower in the initial builds. I know that this was known but this is my first time seeing it in action. The people who playtested said there were too many timeouts and Capcom responded by upping the damage.

Game felt weird as F. Was literally TVC Marvel edition. I told the Capcom dudes this, and supposedly they got a lot of similar feedback. Couple months later, they changed the damage, the button layout and tried to make it feel more like MVC2.

Yea that's about right. I would agree with all of that feedback. I also remember that the command for the assist call was like forward + A1 which was awful.

Only feedback that turned out iffy was the higher damage but in the long run I would say that has contributed to making the game more balanced than it actually is. Bad characters like Iron Fist have a chance because they can snow ball out of control if they land a hit.

I do miss the silly damage calculation though. And although I do like the change to make airdashes not be given to everyone, it would have been a really nice tool for Ryu.

Really miss some of the colors from MvC3. I liked the new ones they added, but they didn't need to remove some. :(

Heroes and Heralds not having an actual local multiplayer built into it from the beginning is still a baffling decision.

I think he's talking about the actual damage output not the numbers that pop up. Damage was lower in the pre release builds but top players complained that it resulted in many time outs like SFxT (although SFxT wasn't released yet people were afraid of that for MVC3).
 
I totally agree with Viscant that Spencer's role decreasing in 2014 just like Wesker's role decreasing in 2012-2013. They are both great character but not Vergil great.

That was like two of the 10 characters available in the pre-release version.

The original demo only had 6 characters IIRC.

I mean E3 or even before. E3 had those 10 characters which is the one shown in that video.

I think after E3/EVO they removed the damage numbers, universal air dash and the disco ball flash.

And yea the very first build had like 6 characters.

BBCP's netcode is very inconsistent. It feels like they allocated additional resources to the games graphical capabilities than care about the smoothness of online. The slowdowns, and responsiveness comes and goes. Online makes it worse. One night I play this guy it's really good, next time we play, serious input lag, and slow downs every where.

Also, good bye shitty old hardware and good bye shitty mt framework. Let the future bring more robust online with built in community features so the game can sustain it self.

Yup, IIRC it was in development for at least 3 years before release, I want to say pre-production began 4 years before release.

Not even that, just if they had some sort of easy way for everyone to unlock everything, even if just for tournaments.

Now fanservice and add-on cards via DLC.. oh god. Imagine them patching in animations and new moves for cards.
 
wasn't HH just really stupid? I remember people having a card setup that healed based on %. So they would choose big bodies and unless you did good damage per hit you weren't doing any damage to the big bodies? Something super retarded which made fighting hulk/haggar retarded.

I remember playing up until that became the "meta", where like every 5 games I would run into 2-3 of them and it was just not fun at all.

I think it was 2 luke cage cards + something else. It was just a really retarded combo.
